  1. He was also the fake Diesel when Hall and Nash were in WCW/NWO. Hence Kane's nickname Big Daddy Dentist.
  2. Watching the bottom of the 9th in the as game Hendriks sounds like he’s got Tourette’s
  3. Reading your post pissed me off. What the hell is the matter with people? Not every aspect of one's life should require a personal soundtrack. Do they blast music while out fishing on a quiet lake as well? As for the bolded part, I don't think you'd look like a jerk for asking them to turn it off, that's being pretty darn polite. I don't even think you'd be a jerk for saying turn that crap off right now.
  4. I haven't watched a draft in a while. When did they stop having a team's former player announce their pick?
  5. I wonder when the last time was that the Brewers batted through 6 innings without striking out.
  6. I think different strike zones would be the big nuance removed by robot umps. I don't have a problem with different umps calling a different zone (within reason, obviously) but when it's an ump having a different teams/pitchers, that's where I get fussy. Now I'm not saying that's the case today, as I'm not able to watch, but it sure seemed to be the case yesterday.
  7. Yeah they have exactly double the positive run differential at home vs on the road, and they've played 3 fewer home games.
  8. Well, they aren't very strategic if they are hurting their own players. Correct. Thus they trade away players hurt by it. I mean, I am not trying to be tinfoil hat guy here, but just think of the scenario: Eventually build a roster where everybody sees fine in your stadium, while your opponents all have, as sveumrules would call it, a couple two tree guys who can't pick up the spin for diddly in your stadium. It would be a pretty nice home field advantage if you could pull it off. And what the hell, let's take a look at their home/road splits on the season: Split W L RS RA W-L% Home 27 16 194 138 .628 Road 25 20 240 212 .556 It's probably nothing, but they would be brilliant if they actually were doing that.
  9. As an aside, my suspicious mind can't help but to wonder if there is something the Rays have done strategically with their lighting to gain a home advantage at the Trop.
  10. Agreed, he really gave himself up to not hurt Josh there. What a crazy play. I wonder why they didn't use Bryant there.
  11. Nope that's right. Missed his spot and Narvaez made it look bad. Still no excuse for missing such a clear strike.
  12. Someone here with a better memory than I might recall... we had that exact same thing a couple years ago with a supposed HBP, crucial situation, hit his bat and they called it a HBP then too. Bad call.
  13. I'm guessing he's not going to be shortly. Yes that is exactly what I meant.
  14. That was fun. I'm guessing we won't be seeing that Megill character anymore, unfortunately. I looked at his stats and couldn't figure why he's on the mlb roster.
  15. I'm following the game on XM while driving through Iowa so it's still more interesting than where I'm driving. Hah, I know a guy who flat out refuses to drive through Iowa during daylight hours.
