  1. Thanks to one of the mods (Peavey I think) for pointing out a while ago that you can listen to radio audio while watching on mlb. Looking forward to Ueck calling the clinch today.
  2. They certainly have now.
  3. I mean, isn't a predictable offense kind of a UW football tradition?
  4. Those were 3 beauties from Mertz...
  5. If you picked Yelich for a home run and a triple tonight , congratulations you’ve just won a brand new Chrysler Cordoba and you can pick it up at Morty’s office.
  6. Agreed. I think it makes a lot of sense to have a lefty start, and Lauer has been great. Houser is a guy who all year I've considered to be a post season bullpen weapon. That's taking nothing away from what he's done this year.
  7. Well at least this gets Wily out of the game. He might be able to make it to the Tracy Morgan look alike contest if he hurries.
  8. Stolen from the thread from 2 years ago tomorrow. One of my favorite Braun moments due to location, clientele, and all the cobras!
  9. I would have given him the 9th, but I acknowledge that I'm not Craig Counsell and I don't know 1/10 of this team compared to him. I realize Craig would have loved a nono as much as any of us. I think Corbin would have been fine pitching the 9th, I don't see how you pull him there. But I respect so much the fact that Craig has created a culture where overall they are playing for a world championship, not an individual game achievement. Hader's post game told me Josh thought let him finish. But whatever. It was borderline and I guess this isn't the time for borderline stuff. I'm not mad, I trust CC.
  10. I actually think the umps got this call right. The ball initially bounced foul but then went fair. Escobar put a glove on it in fair territory, it was on the foul line when he touched it. That’s a fair ball. The part I don’t get is the play being scored a double and Burnes getting charged with two runs. Seemed like an error to me. Also didn’t get replay calling Bader safe at 2nd. Did he touch it? Sure looked on Cards TV like it went under the glove. Maybe there's an angle I missed? Yeah they had one look that showed it did indeed graze the glove.
  11. So did he foul it off his foot then? Sure looked like it to me on the one look I got. But nobody was mentioning it so I figured I must’ve misjudged it.
  12. On one of the replays it looked like bader might have fouled that off his foot.
  13. This morning I got up early to hunt birds on the tundra. Figured I’d stream the Badgers game replay later. Fast forward to present, my belly is full of white front (speck) goose breast. A fresh fall bird that’s been eating tundra blueberries for a month and a half, grilled medium rare-rare. There are few better things. I hear the Badgers game wasn’t too good but it was a great day.
  14. Plush, I agree with most of that. All of it really, other than: obviously if 2023 is a bust for whatever disastrous reasons I wouldn’t even want to guess, it’ll make sense to trade at the deadline. And your 2nd to last sentence. Maybe so or maybe not. It’s kind of exciting to think of what the pipeline could be producing by the end of 2024.
  15. I think you ought to calm down, Brew. I only said what I personally would do if I were in MLB, while acknowledging that it is not what I expect of others. If that offended or disgusted you, I'm sorry for not being sorry.
  16. I realize the post was in jest, and I'm not passing judgement on Kolten, however.... I'd like to think if I were a MLB player, were married, and my wife and I were wanted to have a child, that we would try to time conception for an offseason birth. Or at least not a September/October birth. I realize folks don't work that way and that there are a million other variables. But I would definitely try to avoid that scenario if possible.
  17. My feed cut out for a couple minutes so I missed Cains hr. What was the debate?
  18. I was getting a bad feeling the longer that AB went. Nice job by Cousins and Narv. Honorable mention to Oracle.
