  1. Yeah I ended up signing in to spectrum for my Dad. Playing the game from my laptop hdmi.
  2. People don’t know about gyros. Twice in the past month someone has bragged up a gyro place to me. I asked if they had the lamb on a vertical spit roaster and cut it off, both friends said yes. But when I tried them both places had that pre sliced warmed up gyro meat instead. If you’re going to brag up a gyro to me you’d better know what the hell you’re talking about.
  3. I knew we could score if we got far enough behind for Colorado to use their mopup guys.
  4. First and likely only game of the season for me today. Glad I went but wow that was some putrid offense. There were a couple scouts sitting near me that were clearly there to watch Mahle. One was wearing a KC championship ring, not that that necessarily means he still works for them, and I didn't ask.
  5. That's the first I'd seen of that one, somehow. I can't say I am interested in seeing the guy pitch in a Brewers uniform after having seen that. Maybe if the bullpen is overworked and they're getting blown out, bring in Strickland and hang him out to dry, then DFA?
  6. I seem to recall a lot of talk about Urias having a noodle arm for 3b…. Didn’t look like it there.
  7. Take a real good look at the rest of them. You might be better off replacing them all while you’re at it.
  8. That’s fine, bring in Tim Belcher to close it out.
  9. Bickford actually picked up a save yesterday for the Dodgers, as the game was ended due to weather.
  10. I wonder if that reds fan had robbed the guy earlier in the game somehow. He did have at least one other ball. Anyways it was a great laugh.
  11. Lots of things could’ve been hurt on that play. Tough break for Travis.
  12. The broadcast crew sure tried their best to put the whammy on Boxberger. Relieved he was able to get the job done.
  13. I wonder if it would make any more or less sense to try Yelich at 1b as opposed to Taylor. It seems like he would be more suited for the position physically, and I seem to recall he played some 1b as an amateur. Of course, that's long ago, and it's LHH 1b redundancy with him and Vogelbach. I would guess we see neither Yelich or Taylor at 1b, at least not in 2021. But stranger things have happened I suppose.
  14. Regarding adambr2’s point about low calorie things, a couple things I enjoy for feeling full: plenty of dill pickles with a small sandwich, and instead of snacking on chips and salsa, having celery and salsa. I find it satisfying, your mileage may vary. Fasting today trying to atone for some recent indulgence.
  15. These wrestler biographies they’ve been showing on A & E I find absolutely fascinating. I don’t think a person needs to be a fan to enjoy them to some degree. The one they did on Andre was great.
  16. I just read their current rules on carry-ins at Brewers.com: Carry-Ins Sealed bottles of water, juice or soda (32 oz. or smaller), and personal size food items (e.g., a sandwich, small bags of pretzels, piece of fruit) are all permitted inside of the ballpark. Our tradition is to bring a bag of peanuts along, hopefully that's still ok. The last time I got food at a game (2019) I decided would be my last time until I hear reports of vastly improved food quality. It just feels shameful and embarrassing to pay money for such crappy food. It's pathetic.
  17. Was thinking of making that point earlier too. All thanks to Narvaez's late HR yesterday. I'm guessing if Narv hadn't saved Hader last night it would've been Boxberger's 9th tonight.
