  1. I will never understand why you don't use your best reliever in the 9th in a one run game. Doesn't really matter if it's a lead or deficit. Especially when he's had a ton of rest.
  2. The 2019 Brewers are not the 2018 Brewers. You have to play to your strengths, you cannot pull a starter at 5IP and 70ish pitches and bullpen for the final four innings. I will take my chances with Houser going through the lineup a third time over four innings of blowpen. Yes the offense needs to score more than one run, but this is baseball, 1-1 games in the late innings are common for everyone. This is one that really needed to be won and really needed to be managed better.
  3. QTC makes his 2019 debut!
  4. Yeah none of the first part of my response was meant to be taken as a 100% all the time truth. i.e. That's why I said a strikeout is ABOUT as bad as any other out. Also, if we're being technical, it is not true that a strikeout "never has a positive result", you can still reach on a passed ball or wild pitch, and you do avoid hitting into a double play by striking out.
  5. I like watching a game evolve based on different strategy. Guys have realized a strikeout is just about as bad as any other out. A walk is as good as a hit, bunting is a stupid waste of an out, stealing a base is dumb if you get caught too often, put more defenders in areas the ball is more likely to be hit. What I don't like is over legislation, yes a rule change here and there is fine, but when you have what we've seen in the NFL where the games are decided by how often the officials want to give away 15 yards. It gets pretty scary. The NFL of today is a convoluted mess of rules and resembles the game of football less and less each year. Watch a game from 5 to 10 years ago and it's a different sport.

  8. "I made my decision a couple years ago that I didn’t think he is the right guy for the job. I don’t like the way he handles the bullpen. Too many times where it is obvious to everybody (except Counsell) who should be brought in, but he will go with somebody that is struggling instead. His in game managing is questionable at best." Said by fans of every team, every season, for the whole history of baseball.
  9. Turang is very young for A+ ball. His average at Appleton was fine.
  10. Well you can't pull off the greatest comeback in baseball history without being down at least 13 runs first! If there ever was a time it could happen, now is it!
  11. Can't really blame him after last night, but man Yelich looks slow out there in right field today.
  12. We're going to the World Series!
  13. We probably need a final role call just so we have proof of who stuck with that one for the past six hours. This GT has got to be immortalized in Woah Solvdd
  14. This years' version of the 2011 Prince Fielder walkoff in extras against the Pirates.
  15. This is the type of WPA Graph to print out and frame https://www.fangraphs.com/livewins.aspx?date=2019-08-17&team=Nationals&dh=0&season=2019
  16. pshh, boy scouts leaving already? When I was a kid we had scout night at County Stadium and stayed to the 16th inning of a game.
  17. 12-12 in the 12th, 13-13 in the 13th This game is reaching legendary status in Brewer history (maybe baseball history) If we win this thread should be immortalized in Woah Solvdd.
  18. You know, your constant bashing of CC is getting beyond old. That's like 5 negative jabs at him tonight, in just the time I've been watching the IGT. Please stop. When he starts making better decisions then I will stop, deal?? CC is far and a way the best Brewer manager in my lifetime and is easily one of the best in the game today. It's beyond me how anyone thinks they could make better decisions with this bullpen.
