  1. So then he's a year or two away from minor league free agency, or more likely cut before the end of this year and we get nothing for him.
  2. If our return was Gonzalez, then yes, we gave up too early. imo Wouldn't he have to be put on the 40 man roster next year or risk losing him? I have my doubts that Lara would get anywhere near the majors in the next few years.
  3. The T-Rats today managed to win 2-1 with one hit, a single, and no RBI for the team, with only two walks, and one batter reaching on error all game. That is difficult to do.
  4. That was the proper call. Doesn't matter where the ball is hit, if the ball should have easily been caught by an infielder it is an infield fly. You are one of the few that I agree with when this play is brought up.
  5. Yeah, Counsell's slide was about as blatant interference as you're going to see. But that was circa 2010, when interference wasn't on the rule books. It was in the rule books. You still had to be able to touch the base on a slide.
  6. That was probably a ridiculous amount of ejections, but none of those actually looked like bad calls.
  7. Win-Loss record: 146-16 Postseason: Yes, Division Champion Highest Postseason level achieved: World Series Win All-star game representatives: Braun, Yelich, Shaw, Cain, Hader, Woodruff, Burnes Offensive player of the year: Braun Starting Pitcher of the year: Woodruff Relief Pitcher of the year: Hader Most surprising player: Woodruff Most disappointing player: Jeffress
  8. I was against this until I saw that the end of an inning works the same as three batters. I'm still against virtually all legislative changes made season to season in professional sports, but at least this won't have a huge impact.
  9. The advertisers may have something to say about this...
  10. 1. sure 2. sure 3. sure 4. great idea 5. That's gonna be a lot of bench sitting with a universal DH 6. kinda defeats the whole purpose of reverse draft order 7. maybe 8. sure
  11. The NFL's product is a joke. It only exists in it's current form because of the popularity of fantasy football. Take away fantasy football and the NFL would've already collapsed like the NHL did. Shared revenues haven't really helped the likes of the Browns, Lions, Redskins, Raiders, Jaguars, Jets or Bengals in the last decade. Strange that you mention that... I was a HUGE NFL fan a few years ago and had been my entire life. Once I stopped playing fantasy football, I just no longer cared much for any of it. Still watched, but didn't designate my all my time to see every game. Slowly, I lost all interest, to the point that I didn't watch one game, one half, or one quarter this entire season. (The way the NFL handled the Kapernick and kneeling during the anthem mess didn't help, but I won't bring politics into it, that however, was the final nail in the coffin) Another reason I could no longer stomach it was the constant commercials and interruptions. After watching for 3 hours, and enduring an hour and a half of commercials, it just seemed a ridiculous way to waste time. I don't miss it in the slightest, and enjoy all the free time I now have during football season. Baseball is my passion, and that will never change. Still have 4 fantasy teams that I follow religiously, but if I stopped those, the game would still hold my interest. When I become president in a few years, fantasy football will be outlawed and punishable by death. It has created an entire generation of football illiterate idiots who spout off nonsense receiver stats and think they mean something.
  12. Hard No on all three.
  13. For me it's: First Wisconsin Building Marquette Warriors Marc Plaza Don't forget the MECCA Arena. I still like to say Enron Field when we play Houston.
  14. Was just gonna post the same thing lol. As far as I know, he's not an insider or anything so guess we wait and see.
  15. When I started following it was MSC I think with like 100 games broadcast a year. I think it was the same channel as FSN is now.
  16. While Thames may not have passed the eye test he actually rated far better than terrible in as an outfielder in defensive metrics. He certainly is not a waste of a spot. Saying things like terrible, no value, a waste of a spot and the worst in MLB history is hardly ever accurate. Saying Yuni B was the worst first base option ever being the one possible exception. Defensive metrics mean nothing for an outfielder on that small of a sample size.
  17. This is absolutley true. They are also anti-small market and pro big spending as I found out on twitter last year. BCB is an enemy of the Brewers and small market teams everywhere.
  18. He is a credible writer. What do you not like about it? Since you asked. Article titled, “How the Milwaukee Brewers are spending like a large market team.” Should be titled, “Brewers invest their limited funds in ways different than most teams.” I’ll cut the writer some slack because maybe he doesn’t write his own headlines. Crying poor? How does the writer conflate fiscal responsibility with “crying poor”? Ludicrous. No normally big spending team is crying poor. The best part of the article is atribbutable to Eno Sarris. Reaping “major profits”? When did Mark Attanasio ever say his goal was to reap “major” profits? I’m sure he doesn’t want to lose a ton of money but I’ve never heard M.A. say his goal is reap major profits with the team. What? This statement is insane. Exploitation is targeting players you can afford that can play better than other teams think? Again, an insane supposition. I would expect an article like this in the Huffington Post or MSNBC website. Yeah welcome to Brewcrewball, usually best to pretend that site doesn't exist.

  20. Still the feature article on home page! It's gonna be a big day when he finally makes his big league debut!
  21. Really? You actually believe this? He has about as bad of an approach as I've ever seen at the plate. I was shocked Stearns would bring a player like this to Milwaukee.
  22. Thank god, Schoop is an absolutely terrible baseball player and has no business being anywhere near this team in the future.
  23. The problem is they were able to easily replace Fielder (in fact they found someone better in Ramirez), scored the most runs in all of baseball in 2012 and didn't even make the postseason, because things happen. Opportunities like these are hard to come by and they let this one get away.
