    IKF is a good call out. Brewers were interested in the summer too IIRC. Might be pretty expensive though.

    Dang would have really liked Dejong in the utility role instead of Mona. Feel like that is the one glaring hole.

    Only one worth getting excited for is Nunnallee. Broughton isn't in the same stratosphere of prospect.

    I get the MLB draft is extremely fickle but comparing last year to this one's haul... especially with how large of a bonus pool the Brewers had. MAN it is disappointing. 2023s outcomes had me really really excited for this drafr but without Levonas this class is off to a poor start. Nunnallee helps soften the blow hope they can at least ink him since Kiley was quite high on him. Also if he goes the college route I hope he doesn't have an arm injury or worse because that is the risk you run. Maybe well see him again in 2026.

    Thank you good to know. Maybe that plays a bit into the calculus since this year was a kind of weaker draft. Use the added bonus pool from 68 and whatever comp pick you get from Adames and get some dogs. This is copium. In other news kind of cool that we signed Prince's kid as a UDFA.

    Do we know if we get a comp pick next year (usually one lower) if he does not sign? Or is that just for the earlier rounds. Also what is NIL money like for baseball it can't be that much in comparison to football and basketball even for the best programs? Not that much viewership for college ball. I just think if you're a pitcher drafted that high getting offered a multi million dollar deal why would you ever waste bullets in college? You have one arm injury you lose a year of development and leverage later on. Seems like a massive risk for little to no reward.

    Very true! I just have seen some folks mention reallocating as a way to cover the loss.

    This Levonas news absolutely blows. In my opinion the draft is basically an unmitigated failure if we cannot ink him. Remember that slot disappears completely if he does not sign can't just allocate it elsewhere.

    Man that is unfortunate I know HS arms come with a ton of risk but I loved Caminiti and Sloan. Draft would have been A+ for me. I'm not the highest on Payne hopefully he can prove me wrong. Run tools just don't move me as much as it used to and that swing needs a lot of adjustment IMO. For what he signed for feel like there was some more value available.

    Haven't really taken a big swing today makes me wonder if Braylon Payne isn't gonna be as cheap as we think... which isn't ideal.

    Missing on Sloan by two picks is a kick in the nuts. Arguably top arm in the draft.

    I feel like our wheelhouse as an organization is drafting and developing arms. Interesting that there wasn't one picked with the first 2 picks. Not to mention the 2 picks taken were pretty large reaches. Interested to see how creative they get with hard to sign guys. Not ideal value so far though. Burke is a fun player at least light tower power.

    In a pretty poor draft I am down for taking a high upside arm like William Schmidt. That curveball is tantalizing and being that good at his age seems like quite a rare trait to take a swing on. Get that boy in the lab! Gonna be expensive though.

    Begrudgingly I would go with the arm with lowest risk and highest reward. Trevor Bauer.

    The 34th pick allows the Brewers the flexibility of going wayyy overslot at the 17th pick. Now lets just hope a very talented but tough to sign player falls that far then I'll be somewhat content with the package for one year of Burnes.

    Alright sign Matt Chapman to a 1 year deal and lets rock. Especially with this new budget space.

    Here I thought we were getting a haul since we actually dealt him. But on paper we got taken to the woodshed on this one. The hypothetical QO pick has more value than this one IMO in the '25 draft which is undoubtedly gonna be the more talented class. I am low on Ortiz and Hall has had so many issues he should change his name to IL. Overall not great bob, but I am gonna trust Arnold and his staff.
