  1. I'm not a real estate expert, but I'd have probably moved on this deal...
  2. Curious why you plan on testing again. What type of test?
  3. Thanks for the feedback. Swag package alone looks like a pretty good deal. I'd take the nephew and son to a game with the vouchers, as well.
  4. Has anybody tried this? Seems like a reasonable price for the apparel and other things. I'm considering signing up my two kids and my God son, but I was hoping to get information from others. General thoughts to share before I do so?
  5. My HS in north central WI has been in session for about 6 weeks now. We’re probably up to 10-12 positive cases over that time, and at one point had ~150 of ~850 students quarantined. We’ve basically been told we won’t be going full virtual unless we don’t have staff to handle students. We have a large group lecture room and have set up tables at one end of our field house where we classes have gone when teachers are out quarantined (staff instructs from home if able). We began the year with 3 options: full time virtual (our school has a separate virtual “school”, this filled up), full-time in person (vast majority chose this), and a hybrid option (in-person every other day, watch class from home every other, I think under 20% chose this). We’ve had requests for a full-time virtual “in-house” option, and it sounds like that will be rolled out within a couple weeks. Chaotic, stressful, but so far it’s been better than the spring, no doubt.
  6. If any season ticket package holders are willing to hook up a fellow Brewer fan with opening day tickets, message me.
  7. Usually they have a lottery for these (I thought). Has this happened already?
  8. Much better spot to be if you are looking for more favorable table games.
  9. I don't understand why you'd put a restriction on the number of Ps on your active roster. If a team wants to go 9 position players and 16 (17 now) pitchers...so what?
  10. It's kind of a silly debate because I think if EVERYTHING goes right, we might win by a score. I'm typically very fanboyish on UW, but I just don't see them winning or even keeping it within a couple scores.
  11. What about dealing Hiura for Lindor. We probably have a 2 year window. Any doubt he makes us better tomorrow?
  12. Arcia is actually a very poor comp for Urias. Try again.
  13. It’s a lazy, cop out retort to avoid real discussion. Which is perfect for twitter.
  14. Dave Ramsey would say debt first. Numbers would say it depends on the debt.
  15. I think we put like $50 a month into both of our children’s 529 accounts. It’s not much, but we started early enough where at could very well be $15k our more by the time they’d need it. I don’t think anybody has to pay anything for their children’s higher ed, but I KNOW I will end up helping them in some way simply because I will want to, so I might as well let tax free growth maximize that.
  16. I don't think that is the case with most legal cases. It may be the contracted deal in some cases, but most lawyers are charging billable hours, I believe.
  17. Hasn’t made its way up to the northwoods schools yet. We are usually several months behind.
  18. Hasn’t made its way up to the northwoods schools yet. We are usually several months behind.
  19. Yikes. A kid getting hurt sliding in a baseball game happens all the time. Generally it is because the kid slides too late and jams up an ankle. It is a huge leap of logic to put financial responsibility for this on a coach, though. Even if you can prove that he gave the slide sign late, it's just not something that seems reckless nor negligent. This isn't a chess match with time to think through moves.
  20. I'm so sick of this. That woman had every right to sue and McDonald's was guilty of negligence. Anyway, back on point, I know I had to get my parents to sign a liability waiver anytime I played sports as a youth. I can't believe that a school district wouldn't do the same. I don't believe any liability waiver would cover reckless negligence, though.
  21. I thought there are mechanisms in the judicial system to keep cases like this from getting to a jury. Lawyers can take cases as from anyone who will pay them, I assume, and that is their right, I suppose. Don't cases get thrown out for having no ground to stand on? How did this even get to a court room? The article didn't go into that.
  22. I just read about it this morning. How does something like this ever even get in front of a jury?
  23. Absolutely. It may be the cleanest path to self-employment.
  24. Agreed with the above. "Pushing trade schools" could be misleading a bit. Eliminating any stigma is the better way of capturing the intent.
