The offensive line is a head scratcher. I started to wonder if the recruiting got lazy and they weren't really trying to branch out of Wisconsin very much. Why dig deep into OT recruiting if you can just get highly ranked WI guys with near zero effort? It is one rare position Wisconsin can really dominant recruiting, yet, the results are not matching. Nelson is terrible. Maybe no one is better, but that guy sure looks lost way too much for the experience he has. Penn State absolutely torched him like it was his first college game ever. I think safety is a spot where we could definitely benefit from an upgrade in speed/athleticism, but it's a common mistake to blame Nelson for all the breakdowns simply based on the fact that he was the guy we see chasing the WR down. Faion Hicks and Jim Leonhard both stated that Hicks was responsible for the first TD allowed, not Nelson.

Outside of a couple of media-fueled playoff/BCS appearances in which they were utterly embarrassed, how have we fallen short of "NDs level" in the past decade or so? Or even 30 years?

I think it was clear last year that an experienced Coan would be more effective than upping Mertz. It’s on GM now to learn quick. I don’t see the “arm talent” that was always so talked about. As poorly as he played, particularly in the red zone, he was a simple seam pass away from a game winning TD drive. I’m not kidding when I say I could make that throw. He needs to hit his guy, Chimere, there.

I bought several hundred dollars of BTC early last summer when it was at around $8500. I added to that over time, but I haven't had the guts to keep it in long enough, so I didn't realize the all time highs. I believe in the upside of crypto...but I don't know if I have the difference to play the long game.

I think Cephus was suspended from the program until the university ousted him. Obviously, there were additional complexities and complicating factors in that case.

According to Crawford, he was attacked in his dorm room by Antwan Roberts, another frosh RB that's been suspended indefinitely, and used the knife to defend himself. Very, very different scenario, but that is obvious.

Joe Tippmann beating out Kayden Lyles is big. Lyles was a big recruit and took one for the team flipping to the DL his freshman year, but he just hasn’t been a great player. Still, you have a sophomore taking a job from an established senior…you can expect a clear upgrade. Chez is going to be good. So will Berger. Question will be if Guerendo or Braelon Allen can earn carries as a bigger back. I’m stoked for Saturday. I think UW wins and covers the 4.5 points.

Adding my $.02... I think this is the best Badger team since 2017 and it has the potential to be better than that crew. This is potentially the best defense we've had, which, I know, says a lot. Impact players and depth on the DL (Benton and Hennigson are All-Big Ten caliber players) and at LB. Depth and experienced DBs who've now worked under JL for their entire careers. The offense is the bigger question mark, but PC generally has good offenses when he has experienced players, and we are flush with experience everywhere except maybe running back. Punter will be great. K is a question mark, and that is scary. Hopefully the season is "normal" because I think we have a GREAT team to look forward to.

I didn’t read through all of this, so maybe this has been discussed, but his swing looks like trash. Word tomahawk-like, swinging off front heel team. Maybe it’s due to the back, but the swing is broken. -
0-1 with a K against him lifetime. Fouled back that 0-1 FB hard, though! The dude is hometown, for sure. What’s he doing a few days after retirement? Playing in a local slow pitch tournament. That’s fricking cool, IMO.

I was really excited to go and thought we could squeeze it in even with Easter festivities this weekend, but it’s not like going to work out. I have four tickets, section 212, for tomorrow’s game. I can get my money back with them ($60 a piece with fees), that’s great. Otherwise I would take a loss on them, as well. Would like them to get used, obviously. PM me with any interest. Thanks. Is there any change on transferring tickets? Like if I get 3 and I can't go myself, will I have any issue giving them to my dad and brothers or a friend? I am NOT trying to sell anything, to be clear. Doesn't sound like much of a market anyway.

Got my first Pfizer shot yesterday afternoon. County health department organized for school district employees. I had Covid in October, so I was a little worried about side effects on the first shot, but so far just some soreness around the injection site.
