  1. Anyone who chooses to run CC is already punishing themselves. Discipline would definitely be tricky. Make them work their abs until they puke!
  2. Do you think it was "stolen" from her by the doctors? Not being in your situation I can't imagine what this has been like. Prayers for your wife and good luck making the best decisions going forward.
  3. Obsesessed, you need to remember that a good portion of the crowd is probably driving from La Crosse, Green Bay, Wausau, Eau Claire etc...and need to head home that night. My father, brothers and I are as big a Brewer fans as there are, but if we are at a game when there is little doubt of the outcome we like to get a head start on that 3.5 hour drive home. Leaving in the 8th inning isn't necessarily a sign of bandwagon fans. That said, 3 million is definitely not a number that can be maintained over several years. 2.7 or so would be a good goal over a long term span.
  4. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't have the pigeon-toes for Greg Vaughn. Otherwise pretty good.
  5. Count me in, would ya? I don't know what my post total is now, but I've had other screennames before and have been on the site since before the .com/.net fiasco. Cool thing you're doing, too!
  6. I'm going to be certified in English and history for Secondary ed. I'm starting to get a bit concerned that finding a job might be more difficult that I've anticipated (my mom and brother both got jobs after 1 interview). I'd be open to going out of state for a few years, though. It is good to hear that there is oppurtunity out there.
  7. This thread is going to haunt me throughout the weekend. I have a rotation of commercial jingles and creepy songs going through my head now.
  8. Pay ten bucks to get ESPN the magazine for a year and then you are an insider. It isn't that difficult, really.
  9. I would hope this doesn't set a precedent for the league, players, and agents dictating how teams run their systems. The Twins have their reasons, and as long is it isn't simply a plot to destroy Liriano's career, then there should be nothing anyone can do about it.
  10. I have to admit that I had watched the movie about 15 times before I actually realized what was going on in this scene. I don't think a 10 year old would pick up on everything outside of a guy getting busted checking out a bikini-clad lady. Sinner! -cut back on the quote to include just the relevant info. --pitchleague
  11. How about, "I wanted to let you know that I will be asking your daughter to marry me and I'd like to do so with your blessing." Let's them know what's up and gives them some importance in the decision. I agree with the seeming consensus that right after you place your orders is a good time.
  12. When will Odorizzi be pitching? Or have I been missing it?
  13. Strange list of names for the derby. None of them is really considered a "power hitter."
  14. LaPorta, Green, and Cain to become the front runner in the NL sounds tasty.
  15. Braun as a starter! Just announced by Bill S. KGJ out.
  16. The only redeeming quality that song has it it really seems to get girls excited and dancing. And that is never a bad thing.
  17. Do you think even one of these lines fits Corey Hart? Anyway, it surely is a fun and popular song and Corey has to know it helps him a ton with the Wisconsin market. Just another note, a hottie that I met this weekend loves Corey Hart, mostly for his walk up music. I fell in love instantly. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif International Harvester Lyrics Link I'm the son of a 3rd generation farmer I've been married 10 years to the farmer's daughter I'm a God fearin' hard workin' combine driver Hoggin' up the road on my p-p-p-p-plower Chug a lug a luggin' 5 miles an hour On my International Harvester Three miles of cars layin' on their horns Fallin' on deaf ears of corn Lined up behind me like a big parade Of late to work road raged jerks Shoutin' obscene words flippin' me the bird Well you may be on a state paved road But that blacktop runs through my payload Excuse me for tryin' to do my job But this year ain't been no bumper crop If you don't like the way I'm a drivin' Get back on the interstate Otherwise sit tight and be nice And quit yer honkin' at me that way Chorus: Cause I'm a son of a 3rd generation farmer I've been married 10 years to a farmer's daughter I got 2 boys in the county 4-H I'm a lifetime sponsor of the F.F.A. 18. Giant Dill Pickle have been my seed of choice lately.
  19. I hope Soup continues to pitch as he has just so the Crew might be able to trade him at some point this offseason. That'd help resign Sheets, too.
  20. Dillon is an upgrade in LF over Braun? I'll assume that someone else went into the OF, because this is just totally false otherwise.
  21. Steve Woodard had the monster debut against Clemens with 1H and 11K or something. Don't recall when he gave up the hit.
  22. Both of his walks and one of the hits came in the 3rd inning. Man, if this guy can consistently throw strikes...
  23. I saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway my senior year of high school. I enjoy musical theatre and loved the show, but my friends who saw the show and find musicals less appealling were very happy that we took in a show. Just a thought. I wouldn't pass it up.
  24. So is the iPhone an option in Central WI yet?
