  1. There is probably some mathematical theory to figure that one out. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I'm in the group of...under a million...throws mid/upper-90's...has had success before. Great move.
  2. After discussing a deal for weeks prior, I'm sure they have a clue what the other side is asking.
  3. Yeah, I didn't take the time to do the math. My point was, if Boras has some outrageous demand like 11 million...we'll see him at the arby table.
  4. If Boras comes in asking for 11 million the Brewers should offer 5.5 million, because they'd win that arby case. Prince isn't getting more than 8-8.5 million.
  5. So what's going on down south today? We've been under the winter weather advisory all day in Wausau and were supposed to get an inch or two, but it's been sunny for most of the day.
  6. Are you an imposter 3TO fan? More than anyone in the league, you should know what to expect when Russel the Muscle steps in the box!
  7. I was just going through the 30-39 group and they updated to #20. Gamel comes in at 23. No sign of Escobar or Salome, so one definitely doesn't make the list and one is at least a top 20 prospect.
  8. mtrebs, I read it the same way when I saw it this morning. I didn't know Hitler was such a fan of the game.
  9. Does anyone else really doubt that the organization finished in the red after last year? That just doesn't seem right that at a $90 million payroll they aren't able to make a dime with the attendance numbers, two playoff games, and general hysteria that came with CC and the playoffs. I think Mark A might have been fidgeting the numbers a bit on us.
  10. Go the the library. Even if you have nothing specific to look for. I like to go there and grab a magazine or 3 and some newspapers and read. As I walk around I'll grab some books that catch my eye. Last time I came home with a book on the Cuban Missile Crisis, Cold War America, and a book about personal finance. If I had more time to waste I think I could spend hours at the library.
  11. That sounds like a personal problem.
  12. Good to see Douglas has grown up so well.
  13. X, you don't think players just have down years without major injury complications? Every player is going to have some sort of nagging 'hurt' throughout a year. I think less productive years do happen regardless of injuries, and often an injury is "revealed" after the fact. Hell, I have less productive years for no good reason all the time.
  14. I usually just lie down and fall asleep whenever I get tired. If I want to fall asleep and don't feel really tired I'll start reading and after a while my eyes get tired and I couldn't stay awake if I wanted to.
  15. Certainly a surprising hiring. I think it's great. Randolph sounds like a perfect addition as bench coach.
  16. I didn't mean to argue this point at all. There is no doubt that after the summer driving season that gas prices fall each year. They don't fall by 50%, though. Igor's post is spot on. A very small drop in demand in oil has a powerful effect on the market. It is important to remember that the US economy is not alone in its struggles. The world economy is sluggish. There were predictions over the summer that China's Olympic preparations were driving demand as well, so as Invader pointed out, that might also have a great effect on the current slide. Gas prices certainly slide each fall, but this isn't a part of the typical cycle right now. The market is adjusting and correcting itself in several ways.
  17. Not over 50% in a few months. I've heard that, "Wait until after the election" theory before. At the risk of getting too political for this board, how do people correlate an upcoming election with gas prices dropping? Just a brief response will suffice, as I don't want to see this thread closed down.
  18. Bucks had unis like that last night. They weren't too bad.
  19. Regular inflation rate doesn't take into account the rapidly increasing demand in developing countries like China and India, though.
  20. I'm not sure I'm understanding the connection between becoming an English major and your epiphany in regards to the quality of horror movies?I had the same reaction. I'm an English major as well. I've always been aware of the crappy acting and plots with gigantic holes are trademarks of most horror movies. Reading Milton and Faulkner weren't necessary. Anyway. Children of the Corn always used to freak me out, but I haven't watched that in a long time.
  21. Please tell me that was a video of the moves you'll be using Friday night as well.
  22. Jay-Z already picked Beyonce. Hard to argue with that even with some great prospects unprotected in the system.
  23. If Ryan Braun would approach his top projection it would hardly matter if anyone else on offense would be any better than average. That would be amazing.
  24. Hmm...I go to school there. I probably won't be as helpful as some, but there are things to look for downtown and some beautiful parks and such. When are you going to be around? Weekend, weekday, morning, night?
