  1. This is likely an unpopular opinion, but I would bring Misiorowski up and see what he can do. Yes, he has walked far too many people in the minors. However, all of his other peripheral numbers comparable favorably to Paul Skenes, including his age. One argument for bringing Skenes up now was the finite number of 102 mph fastballs he has in the holster, so why waste those fastballs in the minors? I think the same argument could be made for Misiorowski. Besides, can he be any worse than Joe Ross or Jakob Junis?
  2. Bryse Wilson has been a nice stopgap but is not a long term answer as a starter. He is best served a swing man out of the bullpen.
  3. Not sure if this has been talked about, but would Joey Ortiz be eligible for the prospect promotion incentive pick if he wins ROY? I believe he was rated as a top 100 prospect prior to the season starting.
  4. The thing that stands out most is the improved plate discipline over last year. Is that coaching? Kind of hard not to make that correlation at this point.
  5. DFA Bauers and bring Black up immediately.
  6. I’m sold on Ortiz as our everyday leadoff hitter.
  7. I don’t feel good about this game at all. No Megill and my guess is Hudson is down tonight too.
  8. The guy I want us to target is Jesus Luzardo. I would have to think the Marlins will make him available at the deadline, given their need to rebuild. He has 2 years of team control after this season and is entering into his prime. I think our bullpen is totally fine, especially after Williams comes back. What will Luzardo cost? Probably a fair amount, but I think the Brewers are a legitimate contender with another competent starter.
  9. I was excited about this trade when it happened, and even more excited about it now. If the team truly collapsed over the trade of one player in 2022, then shame on them. The players all know its a business, but frankly I didn't think that team was very good even before the trade happened. Robert Gasser looks like a legit LH starting pitcher with many years of control, and the trade also allowed us the opportunity to trade for Contreras. I would do that deal again in a heartbeat.
  10. Parades looked great. It’s hard not to be excited about the potential of this bullpen, especially when Williams returns.
  11. Willy has had a game to forget today.
  12. Dunn didn’t make enough contact his first go around, hoping this time will be different. Also frustrating Chourio sits for his second day in a row.
  13. Murphy might be on to something with a reliever starting. I bet we see more of this going forward.
  14. These get right series often don’t go as planned.
  15. Hard to justify sitting Turang when you consider the downgrade defensively.
  16. With Ross going to the IL, the Brewers should call up Misiorowski. Too soon?
  17. If the Brewers are playing at regular depth that Bell ground ball is likely a double play.
  18. Willy looks clueless at the plate right now.
  19. Don’t forget about DL Hall, who could very well be placed into the bullpen upon his return where he excelled last year.
  20. Have to think Black will be on the way back tomorrow.
  21. Having Bauers, Perkins, and Dunn in the same lineup should be illegal. Looking forward to getting Mitchell back soon.
  22. I would take this year’s rotation over that one. I also think Misiorowski is going to be part of the bullpen at some point in 2024 a la 2018 Corbin Burnes. I think this bullpen has a chance to be as good or better once Williams returns. It is fun to start comparing this roster to the 2018 roster, which was obviously very strong.
  23. Is a rotation of Peralta, Wilson, Ross, Rea, and Gasser good enough to win a division?
  24. Gasser looks really really good. Big shot in the arm for a team thin on starting pitching.
