    Boeve doesn’t seem like he is going to be in Biloxi very long. Crazy how good he’s been so far.

    I’m sort of ready for the Oliver Dunn experiment to be over with. Guessing that happens when Yelich returns.

    Bauers is a markedly better defensive player than Hoskins.

    Hall is going to keep getting hammered if he keeps throwing 92 mph.

    Dunn has been a nice story so far this year, but I have to say I would rather see Ortiz at 3b at this point.

    Joey Ortiz is starting to look awfully good as a player.

    What an awesome early season series! The two best prospects in baseball squaring off against each other, Jackson vs Jackson. Also two of the best records in baseball thus far. Baseball seems to be trending younger in general, which is great for organizations like the Brewers and Orioles. There will be a ton of young talent on display this weekend and I can't wait!

    I agree 100%. The starting rotation looks very, very questionable. It's Peralta, and then who else? How many innings will Miley throw this year? We also have a young and inexperienced roster and a new manager. Odds are the bullpen will see some regression from last year too. I hate to be a skeptic, but this feels like a team that will win less than 80 games this year.

    It doesn't sound like he'll pitch in 2024 but maybe still available to pinch hit?

    This is exactly why you don't give up on him after one rough year in the big leagues. He has all the tools and power to be an all-star, one simple mechanical adjustment could make all of the difference. Players with his tool set don't grow on trees.

    I agree with OP, tear the band aid off and deal Adames before spring training. He is a very popular player in the clubhouse and I think it will be hard to trade him mid-season. We need young, controllable pitching and we now have his replacement in Ortiz. Free up his money and go sign a vet with that money like Montgomery.

    I think we would be doing ourselves a disservice by trading Mitchell without seeing what he can do for an entire season. His value is probably pretty low, and I think he has the talent to be an all-star caliber player. I would hold onto him for this year, especially now that we are all in on the season.

    Have to say we are the favorites to win the NL Central this season with this signing (and assuming we keep Burnes and Adames).

    If trading Yelich means we can re-sign Burnes I would make that deal in a heartbeat.

    Considering he won’t pitch next year, we should ask for the farm from the Dodgers for Burnes.

    This is exactly why you can't hold on to him going into 2024. Just a hunch, but Arnold is probably hesitant to trade a big name player mid-season after what happened with Hader. You can argue the merits of that trade, but it did appear to upset the clubhouse and fanbase.

    That would be a huge mistake. The question Matt Arnold has to ask, can we win a World Series in 2024 with Burnes and Adames? If the answer is no, then the organization needs to load up on as many prospects as possible to add to our existing young core. That seems to be the best path towards a World Series as opposed to getting nothing for either player after the 2024 season.

    Nope, no way. The lineup has been in desperate need of players who make contact, and we finally have one in Frelick. He is also a plus defender, and carries with him a set intangibles that separate him from average players. I think he'll be a .300 hitter in MLB sooner rather than later.

    What if a team like the Yankees knocks our socks off with a trade offer? Do we trade him at that point instead of attempting to move him to a position he’s never played?
