  1. The CF combination of Tyrone Taylor and Jonathan Davis has to be one of the worst in the history of baseball.
  2. It is becoming increasingly frustrating to me that they don’t call Frelick up to play CF. That position is a massive black hole and Frelick looks like the real deal. Calling him up would give me a renewed optimism that I don’t have in the team since the Hader trade:
  3. I fully realize this will be an unpopular opinion to many on this board. I would deal Hader this trade deadline for the absolute biggest haul you can get from a team. I would make it known he is available and try and make it into a bidding war. We aren't winning a championship this year, in spite of what teams like the Braves or Nationals have done in the past. The roster simply doesn't have the upside of the 2019 Nationals or the 2021 Braves, regardless of what their regular season record was. Those teams had young, high upside players on their roster that were capable of getting hot against high quality competition. We are mostly AAAA players on offense, with little in the way of untapped upside. Just my opinion. Maybe you can get major league ready players in the Hader deal, and still make a run at a title. We have a closer in waiting in Williams, and Hader's trade value will never be higher for us. I also think Stearns is as good as gone to NY after the season, with Arnold taking over. I hope Arnold takes the lead on any moves we make at the deadline, as he will have the best long term interests of the team in mind if in fact Stearns leaves.
  4. I've seriously never seen a team struggle to plate runs like this team is experiencing. Just crazy.
  5. Avi looks like he needs a day off. Just looks terrible at the plate right now.
  6. We are giving our pitching staff no room for error. There are only so many 2-1 games you can, even with an elite pitching staff.
  7. How in the world are we ever going to win a World Series hitting like this?
  8. I am really enjoying Chris Singleton in the booth. He brings some insight to the game that the Rock doesn’t always do. Hope he stays on for a part time gig again next year.
  9. You have to wonder if Frelick will get a cup of coffee this season with the Timber Rattlers if he keeps up this pace.
  10. Rowdy has been really impressive so far. He's only 26 years old and has three years of control left, he looks like he could be a pretty solid option at 1B for years to come.
  11. Stearns seems to be placing a renewed emphasis on defense with the signings of Wong and Shaw. JBJ would certainly fit that mold, the question is where would he play? My guess is JBJ and Garcia would be a soft platoon, with JBJ also spelling Cain in CF some too.
  12. I would personally rather see Bradley play on a daily basis than Garcia, but I'm probably in the minority on that. Curious how his power numbers would translate from the long porch in right at Fenway to the short porch at AFF. He's also had quite a bit of success in the postseason, which would be a bonus should we get back there this year.
  13. I would take him. He had a very solid 2019 campaign, including 24 stolen bases and plays stellar defense. I think you sign him and figure out what to do with Hiura after the fact, whether it be 1B, 3B, or trade.
  14. I just can't see the Brewers winning this game any other way than 2-1 or 1-0. The pitching needs to be perfect to have a chance.
  15. For those who are advocating for Suter starting tomorrow, do you hope he pitches 4-5 innings or 2 innings? His pitch count will certainly dictate his availability for a game 3. If Suter is coasting through the first few innings, I could definitely see Counsell continue to send him out for more.
