  1. Uecker seats are $2. Lol
  2. I firmly believe that Gio Gonzalez will get starts this series. My guess Game 1- Chacin Game 2- Gonzalez Game 3- Miley Game 4- Woodruff/Bullpen Game 5- Chacin Game 6- Gonzalez Game 7- Miley/Bullpen If Anderson/Davies make the roster, I think they'd be used as a long reliever/extra innings emergency pitcher. I have a gut feeling that Counsell has something up his sleeve similar to the first game of the Cardinals Series and that Freddy Peralta will play a big role in this Series somehow.
  3. NLCS Gametime Predictions (Central Times) Game 1, Fri, Oct 12, Miller Park: 7:08 PM Game 2 Sat, Oct 13, Miller Park: 3:08 PM Game 3 Mon, Oct 15, Dodger Stadium: 7:08 PM Game 4 Tues, Oct 16, Dodger Stadium: 7:08 PM Game 5 Wed, Oct 17, Dodgers Stadium 7:08 PM Game 6 Fri, Oct 19, Miller Park: 7:08 PM Game 7 Sat, Oct 20, Miller Park: 3:08 PM (7:08 PM if ALCS is over) In this scenario, all ALCS games get the primetime 7:08 PM time slots, except games 3 and 4 which would be only 3:08 PM start times. Interesting that the TV Markets for the remaining teams all dwarf Milwaukee... New York #1 Los Angeles #2 Houston #8 Boston #9 Milwaukee #35 Go Brewers!
  4. I hope Schoop is the NLCS MVP. However, no one can argue that he's been anything short of terrible as a Milwaukee Brewer thus far. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/schoojo01.shtml Dude had a obp of .246 with and a .577 ops as a Brewer. Awful. And for you Short Sample Sizers... .266 obp and .682 ops in over 500 abs on the season.
  5. I think the networks try to avoid weekday afternoon games during the League Championship Series. I think all the games in LA will be in the latest time slot for the day. (Tues and Wed games, Mon no ALCS game)
  6. Fun Fact: The Brewers have not trailed in a baseball game since the 3rd inning against the Tigers on Sat, September 28th! Thank you for taking the stress out of my life for 2 full weeks fellas! Can't wait to get my free Webb's burgers this Saturday!
  7. Saladino is not AS HORRIBLE as Schoop, IMO.
  8. Yes I would like Thames on the roster but I think Granderson needs to be kept on, so he's probably SOL.
  9. Yes, I'd rather have Saladino. He puts together better at bats.
  10. Because Schoop sucks and his roster spot could be used by someone more useful.
  11. I would swap out Domingo Santana for Xavier Cedeno. I agree with other posters that we 100% need to replace a hitter with another arm. I would also swap out Jonathan Schoop for Eric Thames, personally. I'd also consider swapping out Junior Guerra for either Chase Anderson or Zach Davies.
  12. These are underappreciated factors in the Brewers unbelievable 2018 success without "brand name" starters: 1. Effective Defensive Shifts 2. Stellar Defense 3. Pitching Coach Derek Johnson 4. Young Middle Relievers that could be future rotation staples (Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta) 5. Employing 4 All-Star Late Inning Relievers with Closing Experience (Knebel, Jeffress, Hader, Soria) 6. Wade Miley improving his cutter and limiting walks that dogged his career prior to 2018. Counting Game 163 vs Cubs, the Brewers pitching staff has allowed 3 earned runs in 37 postseason innings to this point. Wow...Just wow.
  13. After being a long time non-believer in the greatness that is Wade Miley, I made a promise to my colleagues at The Brew Crew Review that if Wade Miley wins a World Series game as a Brewer, I will write and send Mr. Miley a 1000 word apology letter and read the entire letter on our podcast. I will start writing it now...
  14. New Nickname suggestion for Brewers 2018 Bullpen or if anyone wants to start a band? Thank you everyone and go Brewers!
  15. A Couple of Points 1. There are multiple off days per series 2. No one is unavailable 3. This is the Playoffs!
  16. The Cubs adding Daniel Murphy and cocky Cole Hamels for basically nothing at the trade deadline, while the Brewers had to pony up for the services of Jonathan Schoop was tough to shallow given the disparity in our market sizes. Not having to see another Cubs fan at Miller Park this postseason is quite fine by me.
  17. Cubs had only 9 hits and 2 runs in 22 innings the last two days at home with their entire season on the line. They choked
  18. Hopefully the Cubs all just go sit at their lockers and stare at a naked Anthony Rizzo while listening to Rockies celebrate down in the visitors locker room Wondering how they choked their season away
  19. In 2016, the last season the NLDS started before the ALDS, the 2 game times were 4:38 CST and 8:15 CST. I fully expect the Brewers Thursday game to be at 4:38 CST and the Dodgers to get the later game. I do agree with everyone else that the Brewers are likely to have the early 12:08 CST time slot on Friday.
  20. Congratulations to the 2018 Milwaukee Brewers making the postseason for 5th time in franchise history!
