  1. Reds are in need of a SS and most of the Free Agent SS have now signed with others. Maybe trade Arica to Reds for a decent prospect, give Urias the everyday SS spot and sign a 3B free agent. And i agree that Urias will be given an opportunity of everyday ABs before the Brewers consider trading him.
  2. I think there is about a 90% chance Turner will be re-signing with the Dodgers.
  3. I don't think the Brewers signed Robertson with the intention of him being a starter.
  4. This signing is overpriced and awful. So we fix our broken offense but signing an average player past his prime who can't hit at a position we don't need. Perfect. Also WAR is a made up statistic that means absolutely nothing to no one. I'm Sorry. Needed to be said.
  5. Applaud the Brewer organization for this well deserved move.
  6. The Fish just DFA'd former Brewer prospect, RHP Jordan Yamamoto https://www.fishstripes.com/2021/1/28/22250942/mlb-roster-moves-news-anthony-bass-jordan-yamamoto Is there any reason the Brewers shouldn't put a waiver claim in on him? He had a rough year in 2020 but who didn't? I still really like his arsenal.
  7. I would also wonder who would pitch Game 3, but I feel like the Brewers will take this series in 2 games.
  8. I guess on a positive note, the Brewers should be able to make the playoffs for 3 consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history!
  9. Top 2 teams in each division make playoffs regardless of record? What. The. Actual. F. Winning the division literally means nothing now. Team with best record in each league gets pleasure of potentially losing a 3 game "series" against the 8th best team in the league, with all three games at home (with no fans).
  10. When LHP Eric Lauer is ready to take a rotation spot, I can see Houser moving to the pen. Gives us one young lefty with some promise in the rotation as well.
  11. Can Burnes have his rotation spot pretty please? Dude is dealin!
  12. Brent Suter mic'd up and doing some play by play was the highlight of my day. Outstanding.
  13. I think the players will take these scrimmages in the next week seriously. Cool idea and kudos to the Brewers for putting some fun back in baseball. Much needed in 2020
  14. So for Spring Training 2.0, teams are not playing actual exhibition games vs other clubs but instead just physically getting back up to speed? Looks like I finally located an online article that explains that it will be handled in 3 phases, with exhibition game vs other clubs only happening in the third and final phase. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2020/06/mlbs-spring-training-20-will-be-three-phased-plan-that-ends-with-exhibition-games-up-to-60-players-can-be-invited-to-camp.html The article still explains very few details about exhibition games in phase 3. Looks like MLB is pretty much "winging it" at this point. I would guess that each member of a teams starting rotation may only get to start one (or two) actual Spring Training exhibition games vs other clubs live batters to build up their pitch counts. Oh boy.
  15. Players agreed to Report by July 1st with season starting July 23rd. I have many seemingly unanswered questions about this. First and foremost, WHERE is this even happening ?
  16. I think Yelich can hit .400 in 60 games. No problem. I'll take the asterisk with it, even if it makes Ted Williams head roll in the freezer!
  17. Per ESPN, for 2020 only... “The universal designated hitter likely would remain in place, as it's part of the health-and-safety protocol.”
  18. I believe Universal DH is part of the March agreement for 2020 but not 2021. Have had a hard time confirming this online however
  19. Well I believe the 8 seed would only need to beat the 1 seed in a 3 game series in this concept. lol Nailed it!
  20. I see it that the Owners liked their new proposal and have agreed to it. LOL Don't think the MLBPA will agree to the grievance waiver part of this IMO. 10 extra pro rated games is barely enough for the owners to give for 2 seasons of expanded playoffs.
