  1. Are there any relievers we haven't seen that can help the bullpen that are currently in the minors? Quintin Costa Torres Miguel Sanchez Ethan Small (second half to save innings on his arm) Nathan Kirby Bubba Derby Blaine Hardy Chad Sobotka Are any of the AAA pitchers an option (we've seen some)? Hoby Miller Patrick Weigel Zach Godley The pen is sketchy!
  2. If you trade Peralta, Woodruff or Burnes Cain or JBJ's to go with them. Unless you are blown away by an offer and a Wander Franco, Bobby Witt, Jr., Spencer Torkelson, Gavin Lux plus are included. The Blue Jay's, Mariners, Padres, Rays and Twins might have the trade capital.
  3. Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta and Houser are a decent top four and are cost controlled players not even in their prime. If you move one it is going to be the year before they hit free agency and it will be because they don't have the money to resign Burnes and Woodruff both. In a perfect world Lauer steps up and takes the five spot in the rotation but I think he actually has the potential to be number three. It would be interesting to see what Woodruff, Burnes or Harder would generate in a trade once the bidding starts but the Brewer's need to hang on to them.
  4. Maybe something like this? Wong 2B Taylor LF Garcia RF Shaw 3B JBJ CF Huira 1B Urias SS Feliciano C Bettinger P
  5. vs. LAD 0-2 @ PHI 2-2 @MIA 1-2 vs. STL 2-1 vs. ATL 1-2 @ KC 2-0 @ CIN 2-1 vs. SD 2-2 @WSH 1-2 vs. DET 1-0 14-14
  6. Assuming Wong us still out, how about? Cain CF Yelich LF Vogelbach 1B Shaw 3B Huira 2B (yeah, I know) Narvaez C JBJ RF Urias SS Pitcher
  7. C: Narvaez, Pina IF: Wong, Hiura, Reyes, Arcia, Urias, Robertson OF: Yelich, Bradley Jr, Garcia, Taylor SP: Woodruff, Burnes, Houser, Anderson, Peralta RP: Hader, Williams, Suter, Topa, Yardley, Rasmussen, Perdomo, Ashby, Boxberger Cain- DL Lindblom- DFA
  8. Hader (closer) Williams (set up man) Boxberger (7th) Lauer (lefty relief) Yardley, Rasmussen Peralta (junk innings) Suter (long relief) Bickford, Topa, Wahl, Hardy, Feyereisen, Perdomo- Taxi Squad File and Bettinger- AAA starting pitching depth
  9. Woodruff Burnes Lauer Zimmerman Anderson
  10. Resign Gyorko and a high risk, high reward RP like Keone Kela or Roberto Osuna. An Osuna/Kela, Williams and Hader 7th to 9th inning would be great.
  11. I guessing there will still be a DH. I am hoping for a .265, 18 HR, 55 RBI from Navarez. I have more concerns about Cain.
  12. The Wong signing really lengthens the batting order. If Navarez bounces back and Cain is average it is a decent offense. RHP Wong 2B Yelich LF Huira 1B Garcia RF Vogelbach DH Cain CF Navarez C Arcia SS Urias 3B LHP Wong 2B Yelich LF Huira 1B Garcia RF Cain CF Navarez DH Pina C Robertson 3B Arcia SS
  13. If you were the GM how would you fill out the roster? There are five openings on the 40 man and it looks like the Brewer's have roughly 10 million dollars to spend. Speculate on contracts. 3B- Marwin Gonzalez- Two years, 6 million dollars Plays 3B, Urias become a utility IF. Could Gonzalez hit 2nd to balance the batting order? 1B- CJ Cron- Two years, eight million dollars (team option for 2022) Primary 1B and hope for a DH. Bats four or five. OF- Delino DeShields, Jr.- One year, 1 million dollars with a 1.5 million dollar club option. MLB only contract. Plays CF, still young and fast. Entering his prime. LHRP- Roenis Elias- One year, 1 million dollars I may be off on his contract. If so, Justin Anderson would be a lefty RP target. That's 9 million.
  14. The Tigers have a weak catching tandem. Pina, Nottingham or Navarez (Tiger's choice) and Ethan Small. I bet they'd bite on Navarez which frees up salary to address 1B.
  15. What would it take to get a deal done? Two years, 8 million? He is still relatively young and could fill the glaring weakness at 3B allowing Urias to become a platoon infielder. His defense is passable and he'd hit between 4th and 6th in the line up.
  16. How about the Brewer's connect with the Giants and each team solves a weakness? Lorenzo Cain for Evan Longoria even up. The Giants need outfield help, the Brewer's need a third baseman. Would either team want more?
  17. A Hader trade needs to involve attaching Cain or Lindblom's contract. It will lessen the return but each of those contracts are bad deals for 2021 or 2021+.
  18. 2021 OF LF- Yelich, CF- Cain, RF- Garcia Braun has numerous injury issues with numerous parts of the body. Hopefully he goes on a year, Milwaukee makes the playoffs and he hangs it up after this season. He is a proud guy and won't put himself in a position where he will struggle. He'll retire as the second greatest Brewers of all time!
  19. It will be the token Eric Sogard start. I wish Huira would move down in the order. Gamel CF Garcia RF ( easier on his legs if he play daily) Yelich LF Gyorko 1B (keep him on the field) Vogelbach DH Huira 2B Narvaez C Arcia SS Sogard 3B
  20. Yahnkees get Hader Brewers get: Andujar Frazier Gil (MLB ready) Schmidt (MLB ready?) + One PTBNL Urias 3B Yelich LF Frazier DH Huira 2B Andujar 1B Garcia CF Pina!/Narvaez/Nottingham C Matias/Gamel/Braun RF Arcia SS
  21. Urias needs to lead off for the next month to see if he can handle it. The lead off spot has been a train wreck.
  22. Gonsolin + Lux for Hader Burnes + Woodruff + Gonsolin + Houser would be a really good, cost controlled one thru four.
  23. Brewers get; Andrew Vaughn 1B Jonathon Stiever P Dane Dunning P One low level flyer Brewers get: Luis Patino Taylor Trammell Adrian Morejon
  24. Hopefully Urias leads off. I'd like to see this line up. Urias SS Huira 2B Gyorko 3B Yelich LF Braun DH Smoak 1B Garcia CF Narvaez C Gamel RF
  25. I don't see them paying 4.5 for a 7th inning based on Williams progression (he'll get the 8th) I forsee Rasmussen, Bickford, Wahl, Black or one of their several Rule 5 eligible players filling the role (I know, that is wishful thinking). I have enjoyed Williams to Phelps to Hader. I see next year a money saving season. Braun- 15 million Sogard- 4 million Phelps- 4.5 million Gamel- 2.5 million? Gyorko- 4 million? I could be wrong on Gamel and Phelps.
