  1. Sure, but metrics had him as elite. It's not like he was "pretty good, probably above average" for those 35 games where it would make sense to take with a grain of salt. Not to mention, it was easy to see how much better he was there this year.
  2. I also don't get the opposition to Vazquez. He's always been an underrated pitcher. His k/bb has been above 3 each of the last four seasons. He's really a very good pitcher, and would be a much better talent that I had been expecting the Brewers to acquire. Barring injury, he'll easily be worth 11.5 mil next season. I could probably be convinced to trade Lawrie for him, though I'd also rather do something like Hart/Taylor Green.
  3. I love the Phillips one.
  4. I didn't like it because it called out pitching. He complained about the pitching, then sort of backpedaled and said, "Well the hitting needs to get better too." His comments last year called out the team as a whole, and that's completely different. This is pointing fingers and I think it's uncalled for.
  5. Gerut is still a good player. A handful of bats here don't tell us anything.
  6. It was in the high part of the strike zone but still a strike. It was definitely not inside.
  7. You can also just stop delaying the inevitable and move to an electronic strike zone and all is solved.
  8. I'd have rather lost on another A-Ram walkoff, or on a Theriot infield hit, or a wild pitch, or anything that would have at least been the Brewers' fault. He struck Fox out, and they lost the game. Just an infuriating way to lose. I can't remember ever being this pissed after a game before.
  9. Why not DiFelice? Because his cutter is so tricky that it fools the umpire.
  10. Anyone able to post a screenshot of gameday? I can't get it to work.
  11. Heh... Ok then maybe I have been more successful than I thought.
  12. Frickin Theriot. How many cheap hits will that little runt get?
  13. It wasn't a slam, it was a three run homer. Trust me. I've been unsuccessful at erasing that from my memory.
  14. Hardy leaped to grab the liner and then quickly got it to second for the double play.
  15. Get Fuld out and the DiFelice Ks Soriano. That's your way out.
