Exactly, we care about the outcome. Sac bunts give up an out, and there's not even a guarantee of moving up the runners. He could pop up the bunt, the runner could be forced out at third, etc. Much better odds just swinging away.
Sure, I suppose there are a few. Jerry Sloan has been at Utah forever. I'm not concerned with a coach wearing on the Bucks players. If he has enough success to stick around long enough to wear on them it's an upgrade.
What NBA coach doesn't eventually wear on his players, though? I think I'd prefer Carlisle to Skiles, but either is a big upgrade over anything they've had recently.
The top priority should be either retaining Sheets or replacing him with another ace. That is more important than extending any individual offensive player IMO.
Unfortunately, I have that same feeling tonight. Villanueva has just been okay, and Wainwright isn't exactly a pitcher you want to see to break out of a slump (or whatever you want to call hitting woes after a handful of games.)
I kind of know what you mean, because I didn't have much confidence about a comeback last night. It was probably irrational, but I just didn't see it the way the game had gone.
I don't see why the Brewers are "lucky." They beat the crap out of the Giants, won two non-lucky games against the Cubs and only one of two wins against the Mets was lucky. Sure some players haven't been hitting well, but it doesn't mean the team is lucky they won.
I get giving Braun the day off, but I don't see why you'd hit Dillon third. Not that it's going to make a big difference for one day, but it's just a bit confusing.
