  1. Just awful fundamentals to get thrown out stealing third there.
  2. I'd also like to see Urias become the type of hitter he was in the minors with a high average and less power than this swing and miss version we see now.
  3. Even when this team wins they are just boring.
  4. Its time to move Urias to second and let Jace and Brosseau platoon at third.
  5. To be fair the Giants lineup is pretty lousy considering the financial resources they have.
  6. Brewers and Twins are both very lucky that the Central divisions are terrible.
  7. The team is very mediocre and is only in contention because St Louis is just as mediocre and the rest of the division is also rans.
  8. McCitchen at .259 has the highest batting average in tonights lineup. Sorry but thats not a winning lineup.
  9. Yes we can compete somewhat especially with MLB expanding the playoffs constantly but the fact is KC is the only small payroll team that has won a World Series this century.
  10. I brought up McCutchen because he has been the primary DH and the biggest reason why Hiura wasn't getting enough at bats and why he was sent down despite being the most productive hitter on the team this season.
  11. If Stearns has one foot out the door as I believe he does why wouldn't he go all in and trade Chourio and 4 or 5 other top prospects for Soto when it won't be his mess to clean up.
  12. If this team holds onto Hader, Burnes, and Woodruff and lets them walk in free agency we will be a 90 plus loss team. The team has to start moving these guys over the next year or so while they still have big value. If Hader pitches well before the deadline and a good offer is out there take it and think of moving Burnes and Woodruff in the offseason. The thought of trading Burnes is depressing but with no salary cap we can't compete with the big money teams. The state of the game is a complete mess unless you are a fan of a big market team as teams like the Brewers are screwed by not having a salary cap in place.
  13. Severino can't even play in the playoffs so he has no value.
  14. We are getting away from the subject of Hiura and how he was our best performing hitter when sent down. It still makes no sense to send down your best performing bat even if you believe he will eventually stop performing.
  15. 8.5 million is not chump change to the Brewers and the owner himself went out of his way to say it wasn't in the budget.
  16. McCutchen as a 4th or 5th outfielder making near the minimum would be fine but paying him 8.5 million to hit in the middle of the lineup everyday when he hasn't hit righties in years is stupid.
  17. Saying they didn't need an extra pitcher is hardly a cop out but if it has to be a position player off the roster Davis or Severino would be my suggestion and it would be Severino as having three catchers is completely nonsensical unless one of them hits like Mike Piazza who would be a better DH than anyone we have.
  18. .709 OPS for the season which sadly fits in with this lineup.
  19. I don't think they need that extra pitcher and regardless it shouldn't come at the expense of a guy hitting as well as Hiura has.
  20. We won't get much with teams saying to themselves there must be something wrong with him if he can't even crack the terrible Brewers lineup. Sorry but I don't get the love for a washed up McCutchen and the hate of a vastly superior hitter in Hiura especially when it comes to hitting right handed pitching.
  21. As much as you and many others hate Hiura he is a much better hitter than McCutchen and has been the best hitter for this team all season so sending him down was flat out stupid.
