  1. You beat me by a minute but I couldn't agree more.
  2. We are good because of the starting pitching and back end of the bullpen but so boring with this offense. I don't see how this team is any threat if they even make the playoffs.
  3. Yeah but have you seen the exit velocity on his ground balls.
  4. I would never expect him to but his back would be ending his career. I think Fielder retired with an injury and he collected his money and the team was reimbursed from an insurance policy.
  5. Hiura swinging through an 80 mph change up is something I can do without seeing.
  6. He should retire and we should collect on the insurance which I am pretty certain is taken out on contracts this big.
  7. Even at full strength this offense is no match for the other probable playoff teams. Hopefully Stearns upgrades the offense but I'm not counting on it.
  8. I'm not rooting for an injury but if it were up to me I would release him. This team needs a big upgrade at DH and I doubt Hiura is the guy.
  9. Did we really have to essentially give away these few games when both Adames and Renfroe are ready.
  10. Its not going to change anytime soon. McCutchen will be in this lineup everyday unless he gets injured.
  11. This lineup is beyond pitiful and Yelich looks washed up.
  12. I know that batting average isn’t really considered as a tool to judge offense but we have a .230 team average and no one anywhere near .300. I realize we have a ton of injuries right now but this still isn’t a good offense regardless.
  13. Sort of like defending Yelich and his exit velocity when it really doesn’t matter how hard you hit your ground balls.
  14. The constant cyber stalking and fan policing from you is beyond annoying so I suggest you put me on ignore as I will do to you.
  15. Brewers are never paying a reliever 20 million plus per year on a long term deal. We can debate the merits of it but a small market team just cannot afford that type of money for that few innings pitched no matter how exceptional Hader is. I also question how we can possibly not trade him before losing him for nothing but as a contending team that is probably the direction we will take.
  16. Attanasio is a pretty decent owner who would be even better if he stopped interfering and signing guys on his own.
  17. We have three plus years of data saying that McCutchen can't hit right handed pitching yet he is locked into the cleanup spot when this team faces righties and that was before Renfroe got injured. I question whether or not Hiura is the answer but I am pretty certain that McCutchen isn't. Without many possible solutions on the roster and nothing in our system ready to help this season we need to know if Keston can be the primary DH or if not we need to trade for someone who can handle the position. Why some of you get so upset when someone has a different opinion is beyond me but keep going. We have people that think the Phillies are adequate defensively and better than St Louis and while I think that opinion is laughable they are just as entitled to voice that opinion.
  18. Hiura as well as Brosseau have both shown enough to stay on this roster while Cain and McCutchen are just names at this point. The lineup is thin as it is so getting rid of guys producing just to keep washed up veterans makes no sense.
  19. McCutchen has started nearly every game he has been available despite the fact that he hasn't hit righties in years. Not only that but he has been locked into the cleanup spot against righties.
  20. You might want to check out how McCutchen has hit against righties the last few years and good luck if you believe that Cain will provide enough offense in any way.
  21. The signing made no sense at the time as he flat out can't hit righties and spending that much money on the short side of a platoon is a poor use of resources. Counsell playing him everyday is just making things worse. I am sure to receive criticism for this but I wonder if Stearns hasn't already checked out especially since many of the Mets moves last offseason were the types of transactions he would make.
  22. Since we have one on Cain I thought we could use one on another struggling player who is in the lineup everyday regardless of performance and thats Andrew McCutchen. Counsell seems to really love his veterans and has relied on McCutchen as an everyday player when it has been clear that he cannot hit righties at all for several seasons now. I think once Renfroe is back the DH spot should be a platoon with McCutchen only starting against lefties and Hiura getting the at bats vs righties. We need to see if Hiura can hold down the job or if we need to acquire a legitimate middle of the order bat to play some outfield and get at bats as a DH. I would bring Yelich into the conversation but we really have no choice but to play him nearly everyday and hope for the best.
