  1. Do we really need Freddy Peralta throwing 90 pitches in 3 innings.
  2. Jackie Renfroe Jr has sure made quite the early impression.
  3. Williams was bad no doubt but the fact is there is little margin for error when the offense is so punchless.
  4. The concerns about the offense run way deeper than this awful stretch to start the season against mostly terrible pitching. The team ended last season with a thud and if you honestly look at the makeup of this lineup its just not very good any way you want to look at it. Who besides Adames looks like a real consistent threat at the plate. Hopefully Yelich is that guy again but who knows after the last two seasons. We've spent a ton of money on what looks like mediocre at best outfield and its hard to feel confident in the first base duo of Tellez and Keston. Yes it would be quite reactionary to kill the pitching staff for their bad start but in regards to the offense the concerns are more than valid.
  5. I’m not burying Renfroe but there is a reason why he is on his 4th team in 4 years.
  6. Considering how bad this offense was down the stretch and in the playoffs it’s incredible to me that Stearns and ownership thought that adding McCutchen and Renfroe was the answer.
  7. Unless I’m mistaken they could have just dropped Renfroe instead of paying him. I’m pretty sure he was arbitration eligible and could have just let him go instead of paying him the 7 million or so that they did. Between McCutchen and Renfroe we are paying I believe 16 or 17 million. Add that to our other outfielders and this team has at least 50 million tied up in an outfield that just isn’t good with only Yelich having any upside. im sorry but after how we flailed away down the stretch and in the playoffs we didn’t do nearly enough to improve this offense.
  8. Take a look at the 2021 stats of the pitchers that shut us out today. This front office failed us big time in the offseason by not adding any legitimate hitters.
  9. Sounds like we didn't even try to sign or trade for a legitimate bat. Wasting 17 million or so on McCutchen and Renfroe was not the answer.
  10. Maybe we just have bad hitters. I wanted Haines out more than anyone but always recognized that our lineup just isn't good.
  11. Gustave certainly is the right guy to put this one out of reach if it isn't already.
  12. Its his last year and the defense is still good but he shouldn't start more than once or twice a week and he should never be used as a pinch hitter.
  13. We haven't faced one decent much less good pitcher today yet we can't do anything.
  14. I'm sorry but Cain shouldn't be pinch hitting for anyone.
  15. Renfroe so far has been a perfect replacement for Bradley.
  16. The offense is so bad Ben Sheets is considering a comeback to be our DH.
  17. Feels like every inning we pitch is a grind while we barely have any baserunnners.
  18. Yeah but the exit velocities on some of the ground balls is really high.
