Too bad Mitchell and Frelick are a ways away from helping the team. Cain is a great guy and has had an outstanding career but this team can't afford his bat in the lineup.
-
The Jace magic from last season looks to be over.
-
Hopefully there is a good hitting CF on the trade market this season.
-
Terrible at bat from Taylor.
-
Wick is so unbelievably hittable.
-
Missed a hanger.
-
Gustave proved me wrong with some nice pitching.
-
Didn't like the walk but other than that he looked fine today.
-
I am first guessing by saying I would have kept Suter in the game.
-
2 out of 3 is fine even against garbage teams but you just hate to waste a great start by Burnes once again.
-
Why is McCutchen an automatic start hitting cleanup against righties.
-
Renfroe continues to stink.
-
Not likely.
-
At some point we are going to have to deal for a difference making bat. The pitching is outstanding but we can't expect shutouts every day even against Pittsburgh.
-
We have a manager and I'm sure the front office is in agreement in thinking that Cain and McCutchen have to be in the lineup nearly every day. The appeal of McCutchen was against lefties and lefties only yet he plays every game and lets be honest Woodruff can probably outhit Cain at this point.
-
If we were in the Reds position we would know the team is in a total teardown and rebuild so it wouldn't matter how bad the offense is since they are looking to draft as high as possible. With our pitching we can win the World Series and that's what makes this pitiful offense so frustrating.
-
I'm all for giving someone like David Dahl a chance. He surely can't be worse offensively than Cain. Something has to be done or we will once again waste sensational pitching.
-
Surely I will be criticized but how is this team a real threat to win the World Series when the lineup is this bad.
-
I don't want McCutchen playing every day either but its not like we have anyone better. The front office and ownership did nothing to improve what was an awful lineup.
-
Urias should make third base pretty good but this offense is easily the worst of any contending team. The pitching will win them a lot of games but how is this team a playoff threat when the offense is this terrible.
-
No wonder he's on his fourth team in as many years.
-
Gott did make 2 really bad pitches and he paid the price. Joc just has our number.
-
The offense leaves no margin for error.
-
Arguably the best pitching staff in team history is going to be wasted by a AA level offense.

The Braves already had three impact bats in Freeman, Albies, and Riley to make up for the loss of Acuna. Where are the big bats in the Brewers lineup because I currently don’t see any. As for Castellanos he is a better hitter than anyone on the Brewers unless Yelich has a resurrection season.
