  1. I'm starting to think maybe Harvey and Wheeler. They don't seem to be in on position players at this point. Lots of smoke around pitchers. If DS said a move or two, mabye two starters?
  2. Wellington Castillo was suspended in June I believe. Don't think he's eligible to return until September. And Giants just said they are not moving MadBum. Period.
  3. I'm kinda okay with that. I have a feeling he'll have contact issues as he moves up ala Phillips and Brinson. I'd hold my nose but I think I'd do it too.
  4. Yeah, not a needle mover for me. I guess reports are that his stuff is improving and we are going to need another option if we run into innings limits on some of the other guys but he isn't a significant improvement over what we have.
  5. I think I would do this. I'm probably committing blasphemy but I am not as high on Peralta as the board is generally.
  6. Could be the asking price for Schoop/Gausman was too high, so they pulled the trigger on Moose that night and decided to pursue another SP elsewhere (Harvey, perhaps). Or the reporting was just in accurate.
  7. I would have sworn that DS was going to get at least one pitcher after the Yelich/Cain deals. It didn't happen. I'll go Matt Harvey for this exercise.
  8. I agree with some of this (my previous rant about individual games, not series wins being all that matters, lol), but the Giants aren't a contender. They'd be well served to admit it and get out of baseball purgatory. I agree that individual wins are all that really matters. I think the whole "winning series" thing is just a gauge on how you are doing. If you win all the series you play in, you are going to be a playoff team. Of course no one does that but it is a goal that is going to lead to success.
  9. So that'll be a no on figuring out why. My bad I'll read your baseball prospectus piece. Still a no then?
  10. Be careful bro. The baseball tonight gang on this board will get on you for having an opinion. No they won't. The question is whether you can identify why.
  11. Still seeing multiple holes on this team and that is not a knee-jerk reaction.
  12. He's pitched back to back days 7 times this year and 5 of 7 have been clean. Twice he's given up 1 run. Never a crooked number. If he gets out of this 6 of 8 scoreless. Look up stats before calling something ridiculous.... Stop with your fancy facts and number and not-laziness.
  13. Back end of the rotation? Who do you have better than him this year besides Chacin? Which speaks to the larger issue.
  14. Well, lets hope this isn't one of those games where the offense goes to sleep after scoring a couple of runs.
