  1. [sarcasm]Eh, decades of losing is healthy for perspective[/sarcasm]
  2. This tells me two things, you don't understand the value of defense nor the concept of selling low. Well, he did want to replace Arcia with Ryan Cordell at one point so.........yeah..........
  3. No, he’s not one of the best defensive catchers in the game. And they are 3-3 in the games he’s played since his return. There is a reason Kratz is stealing playing time from him and it isn’t because Kratz is good. It's like saying YuniB was the MVP of that team.
  4. I wouldn't trade Ortiz straight up for Fiers much less add in Arcia.
  5. In case you didn’t click that Adam McCalvy Twitter link... Brewers GM David Stearns says he thinks he still has a move or two in him before Tuesday’s deadline. I'll go a step further and say that I think he knows what that move(s) is/are already.
  6. Auggie may be wrong but he just said DJ Lamehiue is 6'4" as well... That is correct.
  7. Well that terribly overrated player still has 20 bombs and 62 RBI for a terrible team. * shrug * Moustakas is what he is but even that is significantly better than what we have trotted out at second.
  8. I think this was the option that left them in the best position to acquire more pitching.
  9. Please share your notes on those pregame fielding drills you were lucky enough to attend. That's awesome that you have such good access. Which member of the Brewers organization are you again? I agree. At least wait and see what happens.
  10. You have to understand what he is replacing though. He isn't replacing Shaw, he replaces the revolving door at second which has been really, really bad. His offense is a very big improvement.
  11. I don't doubt the Brewers are very confident he can play there. They wouldn't do this if he couldn't.
  12. It'll be interesting to see what Cain has to say about him.
  13. Is there any chance they still go after a 2B. I mean, this didn't cost them a ton and even if they added a 2B they would have a stacked bench and tons of flexibility. I just have to believe I'm not seeing something here.
  14. I agree here. We gave up MAYBE a 4th OF and a fring-y bullpen arm so that part doesn't bother me. It really just all boils down to whether Shaw can play 2B. Moustakas is OK but I gotta believe he is a better option than the players we are rolling out there now.
  15. Doubt it. The Brewers are thin at 3B unless the Brewers think Donaldson can come back next year and be a serviceable 3B, I don't think he can stay healthy for a whole year at 3B and is probably more of a DH or 1B than he is a 3B going forward. The Brewers won't be able to afford Machado who would be the best option at 3B this off season. I just don't see how the Brewers could trade Shaw right now as there is a big black hole in the minors at 3B for the Brewers. I have no idea, but is Hiura a candidate to move to 3B? No, he is not. If Erceg represents a big black hole then we have that at just about every position.
