  1. Every team has flaws. Ours are just being managed to the tune of 17 games over .500.
  2. I honestly think if you go back to the previous 15-20 game threads, you will find this exact same post every time the brewers lose, and find a post following a win stating the win is the kind of game we will look back on as a defining moment. Neither are true, because all 30 teams deal with very similar game outcomes 162 times each - the good teams win enough of them to make the playoffs. Good thing the players don't live and die on every decision that way.
  3. Huh? If you don’t swing you get first. If you do swing, it’s a strike. Yeah, how many guys have you seen walking to first shaking their hand because they got hit on the hand. It happens all the time. Not sure where "hand are part of the bat" is coming from.
  4. Very possible. It does make some sense to try to drive up the price since they have time. Hopefully Stearns has some sort of deadline as the games continue to be played and he becomes less and less valuable to the team trading for him. With LA ‘moving on’ somewhat already.... if you’re DS do you just ‘drop your offer on the desk’ put a 48 hour window on it and say take it or leave it? Spice it up with a lottery ticket and call it a day. Don’t play the bidding game - let the O’s look foolish and be ok in the long run cause you can maybe go get a Realmuto or somebody instead ? I think DS probably has more pokers in the fire than we know. This is just the one we know about because its Machado.
  5. Anderson wasn't very good either. Not a game I would have expected to win if you would have told me those three pitchers had bad nights.
  6. I posted it and I never said they would be blowouts. I said it could very well happen. Don't misquote me like that. This isn't the first time this year that Hader sat too long in the pen and gave up runs when he finally saw some action. It's ok to use him for one lousy inning. I just don't like the way CC uses him. Why must he always pitch multiple innings? Then he sits mulitiple days and then when he finally is available he doesn't get in for a couple more games anyway because the situation doesn't dictate it. If that's the way Hader is going to be used you might as well convert him into a starter. Otherwise I would rather see him as a one inning guy who only needs one day of rest, if that, and get more appearences out of him than pitching him 2-3 innings and being unavailable for 2-3 games. Well, he is an all star.
  7. I think the Brewers probably have the best offer on the table but it isn't what the Orioles were hoping for. Thus, plenty of "leaks" trying to drive up the price and/drum up alternatives.
  8. Three... there are three... and they are wearing stupidly bright shirts Used to be four of em.
  9. That is complete speculation. Those were not the first home runs he has given up. No more speculation than those who say he isn't rusty. We can play this game all night. Hader should not go 7 days between appearances, that is on Counsell. Maybe they need to re-think on how they are using the guy. He pitched on the third and today. That isn't 7 days, its 5. He's given up runs and home runs on less rest but five days isn't unreasonable. He didn't pitch betwen June 2nd and June 9th (six days) and managed to not give up a run. You're right, we can do this all night and the answer is still that Hader just had a bad game.
  10. That is complete speculation. Those were not the first home runs he has given up.
  11. Counsel should have had a better defensive alignment to prevent that bunt. Totally his fault.
  12. Oh, so Counsell is perfect, and since he has the best bullpen in baseball he can't be criticized? please. Yeah, cuz that's what he said. C'mon, pitchers give up runs now and again. Hader didn't come out pitching poorly. He hung a couple. It happens and it isn't CC's fault when it does.
  13. Are we still front runners?
