    What I don't get is if they were even considering this move, why not put him in AAA a month ago so he can at least see pitchers that throw breaking balls for strikes? I assume he's just going to be used as a role player, and would have been up in a couple weeks anyway, but it seems like like a lack of planning overall.

    My son does, he's 5. His grandma taught him to carry one. And they sell them at places like Farm and Fleet and farm supply stores. Andrew got his at "the co-op".

    So, you use Shouse for one batter and that's it? Talk about second guessing. Personally, I think every pitcher should have been removed before they gave up a HR the entire season.

    I'd be far more concerned about my 5 year-old, small for his size, on the field with an 8 year-old who would just kick the ball as hard as he could for no reason than a talented 9 year-old. The league itself sounds like an ER visit waiting to happen. As for the supposed 9 year-old, unless you're betting on the games, it's needless drama.

    He's almost certain to be a Type A, as it's based on '06-'07, and that's 88% over.

    Did the closing the terrace level discussion ever get past the "this is something we might do" stage? It was briefly talked about once, I do recall, but it seemed like a casual idea that had been tossed out and then never acted upon.

    I would say his pricetag will be much lower than Cordero's, so Linebrink is much more likely to be around in '08.

    Live pitching outside of game conditions is unheard of.

    Plasma is not a bad idea at all. If you are mathematical at all, I'd try online poker after reading a couple basic books...I usually make $300-500 a month, more if I can find a bonus. If working is an option, food delivery is easy and the tips are pretty good.

    Teams have always shifted, they used to ask Ted Williams why he didn't just hit a ground ball to the 3B side, as they barely had anyone there, and he'd say he did not want to change his perfect swing. This is like a topic that should have come up 5 years ago. Everyone shifts completely now, the only difference is the degree.
