  1. Yes, I watched the game. I don’t interpret Controneo saying he was not sharp. “Skated through 4” is not a negative. It implies ease. And the fact that an IGT has negative takes? Shocking. Love how you quoted yourself to help make your point. I repeat: not a runner past first base. Zero runs. 80 pitches. Phillies are no joke and he shut them down.
  2. Uribe pitching the 7th? What do you think 8 and 9 will be?
  3. Don’t let Miz skew the perception of other pitchers. Harrison’s line: 6 shutout, No walks, no runner past first, 3 hits and a Hbp, and he was “not looking great to start the game”?
  4. You just expect control issues with a guy who throws that hard. He’s merciless out there
  5. Get a life? Who the hell are you? She's a loyal brewer fan who commits a lot of money to following the team.
  6. Filed under Cool Story, Bro: My aunt started getting UW men's basketball tickets in 1947. She got better and better seats through renewal as the years went on. After 50 years of mostly crappy basketball, the move to the Kohl Center in 1998 got her booted to the third level, because she couldn't afford it. She was always so saddened by that.
  7. There have been a number of posts like this in the past few days. These are really good, disciplined hitters. You think one at bat, one game, one series is going to mess them up? All season long you see individual at bats where a guy swings out of his shoes. If you saw that last night, I don't think it indicates anything larger.
  8. All this means is more empty seats behind home plate. Those folks are generally more interested in the lounge and other amenities than the game.
  9. You know I am a big fan, @sveumrules, but you can’t win with these mopes.
  10. Smoltz had a 5.43 ERA and a WHIP of 1.7 in his first 12 starts. And I’m not sure people are calling Sproat the next star, but you can see he’s got talent. Whether he becomes Manny Parra, John Smoltz, or something in between, will remain to be seen.
  11. I know you were talking about improving the offense, but to say that a 97-win team last year, and a team on pace for 100 wins right now, is mailing it in, is just a bad take. The front office that can build that somehow is mailing it in according to you. Damn, that's just insulting. And no, I don't work there, nor know anyone who does. "I think they're just content to compete enough to sell tickets" made me laugh out loud.
  12. Can I address the fact that Rob Z is on the IL again? I must have missed the fact that he was hurt again, but his injury history is ridiculous.
  13. I hope the Brewers are as consistent as you are!
  14. Well, we should all be ashamed of ourselves for our May predictions. No one predicted 19-7. No one was closer than 2.5 games off. @ErnieRilesBrianGilescame the closest with 17-10. New month, new challenges, underestimate the Brewers if you must. What is their record for the 27 games in June? 4 SFG 3 @COL 3 @ATH Off Day 3 PHI Off Day 3 CLE 3 @ATL 3 @CIN Off Day 3 CHC 2 (of a 4 game series) CIN
