  1. Sproat for 5, Drohan for 3, then the ninth will be determined if it's a save situation or not. I'll go with not, so Grant Anderson finishes out a 6-2 victory.
  2. I didn't see this coming. Cal Raleigh is 0-for May. After going 0 for 3 with a walk and two strikeouts Sunday, Raleigh hasn’t picked up a hit since blasting a two-run homer against the Twins on April 26 — that’s a span of 36 plate appearances. During that span, he drew three walks and struck out 14 times.
  3. That same thing could be written about Yelich, in my mind, and feels like an approach the Brewers have. Maybe they do it to get pitch counts up. Sure seems like there's a lot of 0-2 counts. Batters watch the first strike, then swing at a low and away pitch to go to 0-2. The facts probably don't back it up to the extent that it seems to me like it is happening.
  4. I guess because there aren’t that many categories. It’s not a fielder’s choice, it’s not an error, base on balls, hit by pitch, dropped third strike or catcher interference. That leaves hit as the only choice, and the batter did hit the ball. But I don’t know. I had the same thought about losing a no-hitter that way
  5. I guess Judge leading off is probably why the pitching change is happening
  6. Damn, you guys are cold. Guy has barely been carted off and there’s speculation about a career-impacting injury and who’s gonna replace him.
  7. Imagine having a lineup where your underperformers have a WRC+ at 97 or better. That's quite a standard to hold the Cubs to. I'd hate for them to become dominant. Brewers team WRC+ is 98.
  8. Looking at Fangraphs, Cubs have a 121 WRC+ as a team (2nd to the Dodgers at 123). They are 4th in MLB in OPS, 4th in SLG, 1st in OBP, 4th in BA, 5th in HR, and 2nd in runs scored. They are first in WAR. That's pretty close to dominant in 2026 MLB in my mind.
  9. Imagine Brewerfanatic if the Brewers lost six in a row, with three of them to the Cubs in walk-offs. Add in a 1-0 loss to Pittsburgn when the Pirates scored their run in the bottom of the 8th. Redszone is a pretty depressed place right now. First to last in a week.
  10. Dammit, Sproat. starts the fourth with back to back walks.
  11. Good lord, Hamilton just acknowledging he can’t hit the ball. Bunting on so many of his abs.
  12. Herrera has a .450 OBP against mke. Interesting to walk someone to get to him
  13. I don't know, man. You're telling me they DFA'd Jones for an outfielder whose current batting average is 95 points lower?
  14. I’m hoping that a heathy Turang, Chourio and Vaughan can juice up this lineup starting tomorrow. 22 homers so far is no bueno. 28th in HR and SLG is not good
  15. Good job by Henderson. If he hadn’t slipped covering first on the leadoff batter in the fifth, he might have a shutout
