  1. He’s done. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/brandon-woodruff-injury-update-brewers-two-time-all-star-wont-pitch-in-2024-following-shoulder-surgery/
  2. Dillard just said that he hoped the kid who got hit in the face with the ball was a Brewer fan so he can go home happy. That’s a reach
  3. I've always thought Milwaukee messed up by not getting Bierbrodt to pitch for them a few years ago. Now there's a guy named Brewer pitching against them?
  4. Love how many times the middle infielders of the Cubs have juuuuuuust missed a ball today.
  5. Ross! Pitching well. Saw him shut the Cubs down for 5 innings in Arizona, if he decides to be a Cub-killer, that would be great.
  6. So you're saying he sucks? Fight! Fight! Fight!
  7. Ross isn't the Cubs' manager anymore. Perhaps you haven't heard they hired a new guy. It was in all the papers.
  8. That was fantastic. Love Jomboy’s breakdowns.
  9. Watching White Sox play the Twins. 6-5 heading into the 9th. Steve Stone, talking about the Sox: “Good teams find a way to win in the late innings, bad teams find a way to lose.” Twins proceed to score 4 in the 9th. Good way to dog the team you work for without dogging the team you work for. Twins 7-0 vs the Sox
  10. Good lord, I’m buying the “umps hate mke “ more than ever
  11. And dare I say, Coach Cooper is smiling at all the poured on runs
  12. Bauers made a nice scoop to end the 8th
  13. Got a Phil Roof bat as a giveaway on Bat Day as a kid. Because of that, he has always had an outsized importance in my baseball memories. Don't remember him as a Jay. Great pull, I salute you.
  14. Excellent month. Just keep scratching out wins and get healthy. Exciting team.
  15. IGTs are more pleasant and shorter. In my opinion, IGTs are always shorter when the team is winning. Edit: What homer said, directly above me. I visit here daily, and usually multiple times a day. I am at least monitoring the IGTs, sometimes even more if I can't watch the game so I can get a sense of what's happening to an extent that is greater than following the gamecast online. I wish that threads didn't get hijacked. I know that my tendency is to want to police what gets said. I think I restrain myself almost all of the time. But my engagement goes down when, for example, an IGT becomes about Cheap Mark A instead of the game in front of us. There's already plenty of threads discussing payroll. I am glad the site is here, and as Zack Mayo said in An Officer and a Gentleman:
