Lutz Peralta Burnes are 3 I'd hate to trade. There are more but anyone that immediately produces and steps up levels with ease fascinates me beyond their current market value. People think the world of brinson ray league wide. They're going to be valued fairly in a trade. While guys like Lutz Burnes Peralta have moved into good spots quickly they are also guys who could threaten top billing in the system fast. Rumors put lutz in discussions for our 1st pick. He's not top 100 Huira is. Maybe Lutz should be as well. I'd rather deal marquee prospects in our system at their lofty value than lesser valued high upside young prospects who might not garner the value they deserve. Just a long way of saying... sell at sell high points. Let their value mature. I'd much more easily deal guys like ray, who worry me because they ARE rated very highly and aren't young at their level and aren't producing. Potential galore but they're already valued based on that potential and at some point they need to produce or they become worthless. It's a dumb way of looking at it because talent matters but baseball has so many talents required to be special. Great athletic tools aren't enough. It's wrong to think but phillips showed that he acclimated a bit, and that arm plays so amazingly, that I have more faith in him being a good mlb player than brinson. Ceiling for brinson is very lofty but he also got eaten alive and has a bigger injury past. Fair value for brinson far outweighs fair value for phillips though so I'd cringe more at trading phillips than brinson. 2 others who I'd cringe if they were dealt is Kodi and Feliciano. I just like young players who are producing ahead of their age. (Kodi is streaky and when he's on its pretty, has nasty stuff and if that control ever comes around consistently he's capable of being a beast of a starter or a hand me multiple top 100 prospects for this knockout loogy pen arm. Lottery ticket that's just not worth trading cuz you'll get pennies and it could haunt you)
