I would just like to see the Cardinals relegated to "who cares" status on national telecasts. Otherwise this game doesn't matter ... even in the slightest. I guess it would be pretty cool to see this Brewers team set a franchise wins record, though.

Lauer hasn't given up more than 6 ERs a MONTH since July.

Lauer is pretty dang close to a fourth ace at this point. He's been nails for the vast majority of the season, but especially in the second half. He 100% deserves a playoff rotation spot. The crazy thing is, so does Houser. What a terrific problem to have.

So far the Packers have to be thrilled with the contributions they are getting from the 2021 draft. 1st - Stokes looked pretty dang solid last night other than a couple ticky-tack PI calls. 2nd - Myers has seemingly replaced Linsley without missing much of a beat. 3rd - Rodgers is playing as the 4th/5th WR and punt returner. Not many highlights yet, but looks electric with the ball in his hands at times. 4th - Newman has been a starter at G since Day 1, and has the look of a long-term starter there. 5th - Slaton has played a nice role as a rotational DL player who has had some nice rushes so far. He is looking like a player that deserves even more time. 5th - Jean-Charles hasn't played a ton on defense, but has been a stalwart on special teams. 6th - Van Lannen is on the PS 6th - McDuffie has looked good on special teams, and with Barnes getting hurt may be in for a larger role. 7th - Hill has looked electric on kickoff returns. Excited to see how they can work him into the offense. He looks like he belongs out there. Very similar build and running style to Aaron Jones.

Perfection The Brewers are, after all, the 3rd best team in the division.

Aaron Rodgers = still the MVP

    Utterly predictable.

All things considered I think they've played pretty well tonight. Agreed. But they are not to be trusted.

Depending on this defense to make a stop is a tough situation to me in, for sure.

Terrible play calling on that drive. Unbelievably bad.

Super dirty hit there. Totally believable that it wasn't called, unfortunately. These refs are apparently watching a different game.

Rashan Gary flashing now. Nice to see.

    Hmm ... ok, sure

About to be 21 straight. The negativity and pessimism predictions are always written in such an absolute manner. Why? By the way ... no. No, it wasn't.

    Good start defensively.

Copying this from the thread from Game 4 of the Cardinal series. For posterity Yeah and maybe Santa Claus will come down your chimminy on Monday. Looks like Christmas came early, Tiny Tim!

    Whew

Because we are not losing. Nothing to complain about today. Spot on. Both of you.

So ... Justin Fields doesn't look anywhere close to ready.

Yay ... two bad teams playing each other. Suspense!

Relax. Some of us are going to the Brewers game tonight and hoping for a rare opportunity to see the Brewers clinch a division title. So, we’re watching the Cubs-Cards game because that’s an essential part of it. You telling anyone here to relax is quite, quite rich.
  24. Ron Robinsons Beard
Hopefully the Brewers can do their jobs today and tomorrow, and these Cardinals game will no longer matter in the slightest.

LOL Cubs. Of course, they are likely going to go buy a whole new team next season, so it's hard to really enjoy this.
