  1. why? the season series between the two clubs is currently tied at 7 with 5 games left to play, and the Brewers are currently 9.5 games better than the Cards in the standings? I get the frustration losing a couple games recently - but some people just can't help finding a ledge to jump off no matter what... Right. I'm as frustrated as anyone that the Brewers haven't been able to put things thing to bed yet, but it will happen, likely soon. And hopefully those who are afraid of something terrible happening will be able to look back and see that they were making much ado about nothing. Right now my frustration level is about a 7 or 8/10. But my fear level is a 0/10.
  2. The Brewers wouldn't have to face the Cardinals until the NLCS. Cardinals would have to get past the Dodgers and Giants in some order first. Pretty tall order.
  3. Would love to see Wiemer continue to mash.
  4. I'm going. Must win. Brewers owe me. They are 1-4 with me in the stands at AmFam, with a total of 5 runs scored. I was at least hoping for Ashby, and I get Anderson. Let's be honest ... you are getting Ashby. Eventually
  5. If we couldn’t score against freakin Lester and Woodford then how are we going to do anything against Mikolas and Wainwright? We’ll be lucky to get one of these next two. Mikolas has been an effective starting pitcher in the past. But he hasn't been good this year since coming off the IL. And if they get one of the next two, that reduces the magic number to 1. That means they would have to win one of their final 10. Or the Cardinals would have to lose one of their final 10. I don't think its quite time to step onto the ledge.
  6. I agree fully, but it shouldn’t still be up in the air even to this minor degree I mean, I agree. Heck, I started a whole thread on that idea this morning. But my feelings are more borne of frustration that the division race isn't over yet, rather than any fear or panic that it won't be.
  7. Those same Cardinals sluggers that have the 4th fewest home runs against LHPs in MLB this season. Right? First the Reds are the juggernaut? Now its the Cardinals? The Cardinals are on a lucky streak. That's it.
  8. I find it hilarious yet totally on par with your posts that you say "yeah hindsight is 20/20" and follow it u with "Knew 100% he'd k. Do you realize how that sounds? Don't care...If you actually thought Pablo Reyes was going to do anything positive there than I want some of what you're smoking. The ending was inevitable. Could have gotten the same AB from a Pitcher. At least you are consistent
  9. …and if not that one, then the next day! In all seriousness if they can win one game in this series then I’m pretty confident they’ll still clinch the division with more than a week to go in the season. My point is if the Cardinals win tomorrow, they can start thinking mildly about the division by winning Thursday . Nah, they really can't. This series has been frustrating, but it would take a historically epic collapse the likes of which have never been seen in MLB history for what you are suggesting to even come close to happening.
  10. Well at least you got the very first part of your take right. What? Can't you make a 100% hindsight argument as long as you tag it with "hindsight is 20/20"? Isn't that how it works?
  11. Plus walking the lead-off guy in the 1st inning, who came around to score without a hit. Just an out-and-out frustrating game all around.
  12. I find it hilarious yet totally on par with your posts that you say "yeah hindsight is 20/20" and follow it u with "Knew 100% he'd k. Do you realize how that sounds?
  13. All Cubs and Brewers. Don’t count on any help. I mean, you also basically predicted the Reds to win their whole September schedule. It would be highly unlikely for the Cardinals to win all 7 against the Cubs.
  14. Good lord ... if I am getting this uptight for a relatively meaningless game with the team up 10 in the standings with 12 left to play, I might not survive October.
  15. Exactly why I questioned not going with Williams for the 8th. I realize Cousins has been good, but he isn't Devin Williams,
  16. I get your point. But the winning formula all year has been Box, Williams and Hader in these situations. I guess I don't understand why they would be switching it up now.
