  1. Bahk is back in. Light was fine in pass pro on his two snaps, though.
  2. The reverse jinx still plays. So that's what your ultra plutonium grade pessimism was?
  3. Aaron Jones is out there to start the half. That's a sigh of relief.
  4. Hey a defensive stop! yourout is (your) wrong.
  5. Ugh ... still giving up all the dink and dunk stuff.
  6. Hard to read that and not think this defense hasn't changed one iota. That is vintage Capers 2011 stuff there. Big drive here to see if they made any adjustments.
  7. Prevent defense up 14 will do that to you. I mean I kind of get it in theory. Make Matt Moore sustain drives instead of launching it to Hill and hoping. It's working for KC so gotta switch it up. Thing is Moore has always been a dink-and-dunker. Packers are playing into his strength. I just don't understand all the wide open stuff at close range.
  8. Packers defense has to find a way to generate pressure, and defend the underneath crap better. If Moore is going to throw it deep and beat you, so be it.
  9. Yeah, I'll say. Woof! It got disjointed when Graham didn't get out of bounds. Should have taken a TO there.
  10. Moore really isn't taking big shots, yet the Packers are leaving the underneath stuff wide open. Odd defensive scheming.
  11. I know the Chiefs have some very good skill players, but the Packers defense is pretty uninspiring tonight. Someone needs to step up and make a play.
  12. Because Hader pitched for a good team. Yates pitched for a crap team. More pressure and higher leverage pitching for a good team. The Padres suck.
  13. But it wouldn't be a "good" win if they do?
  14. They could be facing a fossilized Elvis Grbac, and Arrowhead would still be a tough place to get a win.
  15. Just came out that he was misquoted, which is pretty much what I expected. Much ado about absolutely nothing.
  16. I highly doubt that anyone in the Cardinal fanbase wakes up in the morning, looks in the mirror, and bemoans the fact that they cheer for a pretentious organization that everyone else hates. I don't think anyone who cheers for the Packers should do that, either.
  17. If that idiot has aspirations to be a MLB GM, that dream is over, and for good reason. His name is toxic now. How completely tone deaf and arrogant could someone possibly be? People don't forget about this sort of thing in today's easily-searchable media climate. Of course, the Astros were the team to look past Osuna's dirtball past when they dealt for him, so perhaps he'll maintain his soft landing spot.
  18. Confirmed by Jon Heyman: So they go from an extreme managing and coaching veteran in Maddon to a rookie manager in Ross. Going to be interesting to watch. Ross actually followed a very similar path to a managing job as Counsell.
  19. 49ers WR room is a train wreck. Good get for them.
  20. Exactly how long do you think it'd take for a WR'er who's never played in a Shanahan system to come in to Green Bay, learn the system and then develop chemistry with Rodgers? Just getting a bit name guy in the middle of the season is almost certainly not going to help the Packers offense. The Packers next significant additions to their offense will be the draft most likely. I'd have brought Cobb back for 5 million dollars, but we didn't. Also, I don't really see a problem with the skill group we have. If Rodgers would trust them a bit more as he did last week, we'd be fine. He threw a couple of balls into tight window's and the Packers came up with them. I think the only difference is Rodgers is just starting to get this offense down and starting to trust some of his receivers a bit more. Exactly! I personally feel the current receiving room has as much talent and big play ability as it's had since 2011. The team has never had receivers with the type of size/speed combination that these guys currently bring to the table. We are a far cry from having to trot retreads or never-will-be's like Andrae Thurman, Jarrett Boykin, Ruvell Martin or Trevor Davis out there.
  21. Yeah, that's a move the Patriots can make, because they will just go out and acquire another Josh Gordon at some point. Because they're the Patriots. The Packers don't have the luxury.
  22. A 2nd rounder? For Mohamed Sanu? If that's the price of doing business to acquire a middling receiver, then nope! Maybe I'm way off base, but I've always seen Sanu as a rich man's Geronimo Allison.
  23. Rodgers' rating needs to be perfecter? I get the sentiment, but I disagree. I'd rather roll with the young guys we have, and see them grow with the offense. I don't think using Oakland as a gauge for our WR's is a good idea. Yes, yesterday was fantastic, but we have also seen what our WR's look like against good teams. Nabbing Sanders gives you a good 1-2 punch with Adams that is stable and then you can fill in the rest with the younger WR's. Who said I was using yesterday as a gauge? I've always thought that giving young WRs like MVS, Lazard and Shephard a shot to shine, while mixing in role players like Allison, Kumerow and Grant would be more advantageous both short and long term than spending draft capital on rentals like AJ Green or Emmanuel Sanders. It's hard for me to advocate bringing in a older slot guy like Sanders (who has battled injuries the last few seasons) when they very easily could have spent much less money to bring Cobb back. I think this team has plenty of weapons at its disposal, especially when Adams gets back and MVS and Allison are back to full health.
