  1. I think the chance that Hader comes out for the 9th is less than 0%. It had to be killing Counsell to pitch him again here after going two on Monday. Go Grandy! Huge insurance run. Really nice pickup there.
  2. This afternoon, I was so hoping for a nice 8-2 win tonight, knowing with full certainty that it wasn't going to happen.
  3. Brewers lineup tends to make even tired pitchers look good at times. Maybe it was more wishful thinking.
  4. Despise his praying mantis style. Cubs just pitching same guys day after day after day!! That pen is getting gassed. Pitching the same 4-5 guys every game.
  5. Oh man ... was hoping Carl's Jr. would have the chance to uncork another greasy wild pitch!
  6. Not sure you gain much on the bases with Schoop. Schoop is faster than Shaw. I think most of the pitchers are. Probably not Aguilar.
  7. I honestly don't know who else would pitch the 8th. Burnes maybe? Gotta be Hader I would guess.
  8. Maddon said he was dinged up after Monday's game. Said that's why he was announced by didn't bat. Like that was planned LOL
  9. OK Soria ... find that shut-down magic you had with the White Sox this year. Need you here.
  10. Oh man ... Brewers have had a few hard-hit balls tonight that the defenders just barely got to.
  11. I would trust him right now more than Soria. Honestly, with how Guerra looked in his inning yesterday, I might try him in some leverage spots.
  12. Nice inning from Corey there. I think it is safe to say that Good Corey is back. Hard to be bothered that be gave up a hard hit to Bryant.
  13. Perez did just fine there. Braun to 3b pinch runner. Arcia to bat for Thames That would have made a lot of sense. I wonder if they are leery of Braun playing 1B? Hasn't been out there for awhile.
  14. It was on the plate, hence why it was called a strike. Not even close to the inside. You know what, you win. Really not worth the snarky argument.
  15. It was on the inside part of the plate, not sure what you are looking at. It was a slider that broke to the middle. Still, ball was not even close to Thames.
