  1. Define "real 3B". Urias hit 23 dingers last year in 490 plate appearances, and is on pace to hit close to those marks again this year, despite his overall batting numbers not looking as good. He also just turned 25, and is, in theory, on the young end of his prime years. It isn't a matter of being "overly attached", but moreso recognizing value and potential in a player who is still very young and cost controlled. Simply because a player doesn't look like Scott Rolen or Mike Moustakas, it doesn't necessarily mean they aren't a "real 3B". That said, Adames has the type of larger frame that tends to slow down reaction time as he gets older. He also has the arm for 3B.

  3. I previously hadn't considered this, but I like it. Turang appears to have the chops to play SS at an MLB level, and Adames has the power you'd typically look for at 3B. Urias's offense looks much better from the 2B position in the lineup than it does from 3B.

  5. Jace is a free agent, and may actually command the type of salary that wold price him out of the Brewers' plans I think. Every team is going to value a guy like that who is solid all over the diamond defensively and isn't a dumpster fire with the bat.

  7. I think Urias has a higher ceiling than Turang offensively. For that reason I think he is the odds on favorite to see most of the time at 2B next season should they let Wong walk. They'll either acquire a 3B or give it to Brousseau. Turang will likely take the Jace Peterson super-sub role next year.

  9. Always enjoyed listening to Winkler in the mornings because he at least gave a crap about the Brewers. Sparky would rather talk about Packers offseason 24/7. He also loved to stir up drama constantly.
  10. Early returns on Matt Bush are positive, and I'm honestly very interested in seeing what Rosenthal has left in the tank. Hopefully Trevor Rogers' performance Sunday was a hiccup and he'll be an asset as well. If the starters can get through 5 innings, the bullpen could theoretically shut things down from there. The offense certainly needs a kick in the pants, though. Maybe its time to consider giving Frelick or Ruiz some run in CF?
  11. Just have to say that while I enjoyed the first two seasons of The Orville during its Fox run, the newest Hulu season was phenomenal. This show is more in the spirit of Roddenberry's original Star Trek than any Trek show out there currently. Bravo to Seth McFarlane for taking his nerdy passion project up to the level it has become.
  12. I guess I say that because, in my mind, if the Brewers viewed Rasmussen as a viable long-term starting pitcher, they wouldn't have dealt him. He would have been off-limits in any deal.
  13. The ceiling for both Rasmussen and Feyereisen for the Brewers were as set-up men. Lets face it ... the Brewers were never going to transition Rasmussen into a starter. Not with his injury history. The Rays are just a different organization. They'll do what the Brewers won't. As mentioned above, these two set-up men (plus Francis, who for all we know could end up being just a AAAA guy) were turned into Adames and Tellez, who have quickly turned into the top power threats on this team. That's strong personnel decision making in my book.
  14. We'll see. All the signs this week are pointing to him contributing soon. It was a ballsy move that has significant backfire potential for sure.
  15. Watch it. You're bringing logic to a rhetoric fight LOL ?
  16. Of course it's going to be 62-year-old Albert Pujols to singlehandedly beat them. Ugh.
  17. It doesn't. Grump simply looking for something inconsequential to complain about.
  18. Yelich is their regular lead-off guy. He is not the regular DH. He does DH from time to time to rest his back. Should they take him out of the leadoff spot when he DHs? Because to me that is what would make no sense.
  19. Ha! It has absolutely nothing to do with CC. The argument that a DH cannot bat first just makes zero sense.
  20. Rather have that than a guy that Ks 50% of the time.
