Ugh ... an overturned call to end the game. Sad way to lose. -
They did. Well they tried him as a pen guy but he sucked so it was pretty hard to put him at the back end. I guess I tried to repress the memory.
-
Actually, with the power of Wily's fastball, 'm surprised the Brewers never tried him as a back-end pen guy.
-
Wily showing his no-movement heater.
-
Brad Miller! Well, this just got good.
-
Well Miller ... Arcia coulda done that.
-
The offense is bad but Counsell needs to pull his starter when it’s obvious that he’s lost it. In Counsell's defense, Suter went from dominating to throw batting practice in like three seconds. Just a frustrating game all around today.
-
Well, now to see if this offense has any life in it.
-
Well, holy crap Hader. Now this is on you.
-
And the double switch burns us. If Broxton is in center, he makes that a close play on the sac fly. Not Yelich's noodle arm, though.
-
Dang it. that was crushed. Too cute I guess.
-
Hader coming in. I hope they aren't getting too cute here.
-
That'll work Jeremy. Not lets get that easy double play grounder.
-
Regardless of what happens, Suter pitched well. This team can't go on expecting all their starters to pitch shutouts. The offense needs to find some consistency.
-
Jeffress put in another really tough spot. Hopefully he still has that early season magic.
-
As much as it sucks to pull a starter after 80 pitches and 1 ER ... yeah
-
Well, so much for the lead ... bummer
-
I think we can put the "trade half the farm for a SP" talk to bed now. I don't think they will trade for a rental starter, but if an ace-type with multiple years of control is made available, I think they'll be in on the talks. As they should.
-
I love Suter starts. It seems like the game just started, and he's already through six innings. I think we can put the "Suter doesn't belong in the rotation" talk to bed now, too.
-
Nice approach from Villar in the leadoff spot today. Has punched a couple nice singles to center. I hope that continues.
-
This has all the makings of a 2-1 game right now. Runs are going to be at a premium. I would have sent Villar on that Yelich double.
-
Wow, surprised Villar wasn't sent on that.
-
And that is why Broxton will be back down in a week.
-
Very nice first inning for Suter. Inning 1 has been rough for him at times this year. Good way to start.
-
With Saladino due back next week, I imagine Miller will play minimally at SS. I think he'll likely see time around the diamond and be one of the top pinch hitting options. Not a bad guy to have in that role.
