  1. I assume you mean Burnes. Which would be quite a curve since he is not on 40 man roster - and we presume they need a slot for Miley Yup, stupid vowels I get the feeling he was switched to the pen in Colorado Springs specifically with helping the ML team this season in mind. Zaguski is an easy cut to open a spot. Asher isn't assured of keeping a spot either. Could also put Davies on the 60-day DL to open a spot if he doesn't improve soon.
  2. Has Houser been down 10 days yet? Pretty sure Lopez has. Or they could throw a curve at us and cut Zagurski to bring up Burnes.
  3. I think Saladino has surpassed Sogard's season-long offensive production. Since coming off the DL. Yesterday.
  4. Nice, nice win tonight. Big one. That's the type of win good teams get. Contending teams. This team is for real this year.
  5. Ding Ding! Winner! Think you are right! This staff has surprised me all year. Watch Wilkerson go 7 strong tomorrow and continue to prove pitching doubters (me included) wrong.
  6. Wilkerson was stretched out at Colorado Springs. No reason he can't supply a 100-pitch effort, provided he's effective enough to make it that far.
  7. Not to mention that Braun & Shaw haven’t had great first half. Pina struggled for much of the season. Those are 3 bats that can do damage & get real hot. Thames missed a ton of time. Yelich & Cain have had to miss smaller but still extended time. We have have had little to mixed production from middle infield..... yet we are going to break our most wins before break in franchise history! 8-3 for 60 is very possible with struggling Marlins & Pirates after the Braves! Just imagine what it's going to be like when those guys start pulling their weight? '27 Yankees-esque!!!
  8. The Ho-Chuck Gaming "Let's Go Back" commercial. Just grating! And they play it nearly as much as Pizza Ranch and Gruber Lawffices.
  9. As said before, Jeffress was available last night, no reason he’s not tonight. I'd bet $100 that either Jeffress or Hader is on for the 8th. Guessing Jeffress.
  10. Doesn't leave a lot left over to sign anyone remaining. Maybe one flyer or two today, but I think they are pretty much done.
  11. No idea why this list doesn't include Yangervis Solarte. Good power and positional flexibility. Controllable through 2019. He screams Stearns-type acquisition to me. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he's why the Bluejays are scouting the Brewers system.
  12. Tell me about it. LOL ... snort. I wonder where that rumor may have originated?
  13. Hanging a 2008 Wild Card banner is akin to the Bucks hanging their hats on all the 6-8 seeds they've accumulated. Rather have that than ten banners in Colorado Springs or Biloxi.
  14. Keon has his flaws for sure, but you have to love the energy he brings. He's always going full out regardless of the situation. His teammates seem to love him as well. He's got a little bit of Nyjer Morgan-type exuberance in him that guys just seem to be drawn to. I'm hoping that they find a way to keep him around after Cain comes back. Maybe Cain can even take some innings in RF. You aren't going to beat a defensive outfield of Yelich, Broxton and Cain.
  15. I don't think the goal of any trade is to "fleece" the other team. I think the goal is for the trade to work for both sides. Sabathia came here and put that team on his shoulders, becoming a Wisconsin folk hero in the process. Sure Brantley has been good, but LaPorta and the other piece (Zach Jackson I think?) didn't pan out. I think this is a legit case of the deal working out great for both sides. If the Brewers had drafted better with the two picks they got as compensation for losing Sabathia, that would have looked better as well.
  16. Actually I'm pretty good at math. 51+35 = 86 games played. Multiplied x2 = 172 games... So we're actually 5 games past the halfway mark... You are going to have a d'oh moment when you realize that post is from June 29.
