  1. I really like McNeil! Wanted him last off-season. He would be a needle mover in my opinion. Quality at bats we didn’t see much of this year.
  2. I think if you can get him for 2-3 million you definitely do it I think. Even with the financial implications. I'm sure they have a better idea of what exactly is going on with his back though and if they believe he can give them ~400-450 healthy PA's, that's worth it as a DH/1B. I'd imagine he'd be asking for a 1/8 type deal and if he doesn't get it, he'll retire. Maybe he even comes back later next year if the Brewers have another Smoak like situation. Either way, I'm guessing he's done as a Brewer. I’ve seen a few people mention the 2-3 mil salary be brought up. Why would he play for less than the buyout for 4 mil? Doesn’t seem to make sense.
  3. What is Hader projected to get for a raise this offseason?
  4. Fastball Freddy. What do the Brewers do with him? Signed for 4 more years for 12.250 mil (2 options after). His 2020 stats were 3-1, 3.99 era. 1.16 whip, 2.41 FIP, 47Ks and only 2 homers allowed. Is he a starter? Is he a reliever? Many advanced stats showing he was above to well above league average. What are people’s thoughts on where he should be or will be?
  5. I’m 28 and feel the same way as original poster on bunting. More than that though, the entertainment value as a whole has gone down for me. Sure on the pitching end strikeouts are fun. And offensively home runs are fun. But the pitch to pitch, at bat to at bat, there isn’t much excitement for me. Knowing there is a low probability that any given pitch is put in play. 100% get the analytics part of it. But from a entertainment side, I’d rather more small ball. More activity. Stolen bases. Bunts. Hit and runs. Less strikeouts. Much easier said than done when guys are throwing 95+ all the time. Just my thoughts on it.
  6. Ron/Joey - you’ve always been one of my favorite posters on here. Curious as to why the Reds and the Braves (specifically their pitching prospects) grind your gears so much? Genuinely curious as you post on that frequently. For the record, I don’t disagree with your evaluation. They both are very over hyped.
  7. Why do they need to start so late? It’s not like fans are going to be caught in traffic to get to the game. Really no reason it couldn’t have started 5pm local California time.
  8. Marlins just hit a 3 run shot off Hendricks in the 7th!
  9. Playoff Baseball Gameday!!! Let’s go!!
  10. With 3 days off in between wild card and next round, I don’t know if consecutive days matter. It’s probably more about effectiveness.
  11. Vogelbach has gotta be in the lineup. Go down with your best....wow. 2020 has put Vogelbach and our best in the same sentence.
  12. This is assuming Stearns doesn’t think this year is an outlier and people go to career norms. But I sure hope you’re right. What a flat, boring team. Where is Eric Kratz weirdness when you need it?
  13. Atleast we paid him 9 mil over 3 years. García gets more than that in 1.
  14. Amazes me that Yelich has a gold glove to his name...
  15. I know you need to be on base to steal. But Yelich only has 4 stolen bases vs 30 last year.
  16. Burnes outing tonight reminds me of many Gallardo outings. Expected to dominate. Would throw 100 pitches in 5 innings and let up a run or two.
  17. The brewers have zero players batting over .270.
  18. Velocity seems to be down a tick on top of poor location.
  19. Sweep em! Dirty birds don’t need to be in postseason.
