  1. Baddoo moved to 60 day IL to clear 40 man spot.
  2. That is so far off from acceptable and I'm usually one who pushes to trade prospects more aggressively.
  3. Hopefully someone new and ready to get to work hard and in good faith comes in ASAP so we don't miss time in 2027.
  4. 1. Woody 2. Miz 3. Priester 4. Harrison 5. Gasser
  5. I like this - last year we started with Dunn and Capra at 3B and ended up with Durbin being backed up by Monestario and Siegler. What are the chances that another contributor (Williams, Wilken, etc.) comes up midseason and provides roughly Durbin-like production being backed up by Hamilton and Rengifo. If someone DOES take that 3B job and run with it, I think it's a net positive overall.
  6. You could do worse for a bench guy when someone else emerges as a replacement midseason.
  7. I'd love the bat in the lineup, but I don't think they will be interested in what Paredes costs, money OR prospects.
  8. Seems to me like the Brewers got an offer for Durbin they just couldn't refuse - they never turn down good arms that they like and young controllable starting pitching is super valuable especially when you can develop it. Durbin is nice and I really like him, but he has a weak arm and is not great at stealing bases. I feel like we've seen close to his ceiling already. I feel the same way that I did when we traded Collins.
  9. I know the Nationals weren't super close to competing anyway, but they REALLY are booting their window a few years after trading Gore today. Any chance we might want to revisit this after stockpiling a few more prospects in the Peralta trade? Maybe it makes a Pratt or Henderson more expendable.
  10. Now that we have Jett Williams is it crazy to consider trading Pratt for Durran?
  11. I really like the return for Freddy, and while I know Meyers is super crowded out of our rotation and I still like the trade, it's gonna be super annoying when he's successful for the Mets.
  12. Sproat projecting asa groundball pitcher is appealing to us but his stuff doesn't jump off the page.
  13. I highly doubt a source could be THAT specific.
  14. Beavers would be a nice get and generally I feel like we need a better option for a 3rd starting outfielder, but I feel like they are happy with giving Mitchell another shot at being healthy with some combo of Perkins, Badoo, and Lockridge as insurance. Mayo might be interesting if he was a bit more flexible defensively.
  15. Yeah if we were going to sign a veteran like him I'd prefer rolling the dice on Jordan Montgomery.
  16. Well I'm not a GM but Baty seems to be a Brewers type guy who is pre-arb and can play all over the place plus he had a nice breakout last season. Sproat and Tong are both decent upside arms with lots of control. obviously there could be additions/subtractions on either side but those seem like decent targets in areas of need for us.
  17. Mets could also use another reliever and Bichette reportedly playing 3B for them. Maybe something like: Peralta & Koenig or Megill for Sproat and Baty.
  18. I mean, Bregman is never gonna sign here, but we definitely have a shot at Bergman.
  19. Usually when there's smoke there is fire when it comes to this front office. You either hear about something right before it happens or it happens without a mention. We will see in the coming days. Off the wall theory - Brewers attempting a pillow contract on Snell and Boras is leading them on. Maybe they leak something like this now as an ultimatum - either take our offer or your guy is still in limbo.
  20. Yankees have lost a lot of arms this offseason already - I'm not sure they are keen to lose two more for a rental.
  21. I'd rather give a chance to a journeyman like Rea with no real baggage or big personality when the team is already seemingly gelling from a personality and togetherness standpoint (at least as far as we can tell as observers.) Bum's ceiling isn't very high at this point and even though he's a name, doesn't mean he's any better than trying to find depth elsewhere.
  22. When was the last time the Brewers developed a good hitter? Braun? Taylor and Hiura are both below average but might be the closest thing. Who is to say that any of these hitting prospects develop into solid every day bats in the Brewers system? None of them should be untouchable in the right deal and it's no guarantee that even a bat who succeeds after being traded by the Brewers would have also been successful here.
