  1. I'll still take Sogard over Villar. I hope Sogard can get back to where he was hitting last year... lots of confidence with a good eye. Villar is doing well right now....hope he keeps it up. We'll see about Saladino.... the dude is playing well. Well, I guess there's always one. That's why statistics exist.
  2. Welp offense has a chance to bail out the bullpen for once. Not impossible against Rodney. Edit: Rodney's stuff looking good though so maybe not.
  3. I love this bullpen. Enjoy this guys, this is special. I've seen some good Brewers bullpens over the years but this one is unreal.
  4. And Jennings off waivers has been very effective.
  5. I'm even more upset about Coshun's commercial because the chocolate cactus bread is not good at all. Stick with the regular cactus bread folks
  6. Meh, I don't think most people that responded think you aren't entitled to your opinion about her. By the response I guess we can say there aren't many that agree with you. If there were someone that pushed my buttons and nobody else agreed that wouldn't make me suddenly change my mind either. This will probably be unpopular because of his recent passing, but I was bothered immensely by Davey Nelson in his broadcast role. I thought he was tragically bad. To be clear, I didn't let that get in the way of recognizing that Davey the person was a really great dude and I respected his past as a player and coach. But there were times I would just change the channel rather than try to listen to him stutter and stammer his way through whatever comment he was trying to make. I felt bad for him.
  7. I honestly don't expect much from Saladino but he really couldn't do worse than Sogard was doing. It's nice he's swinging a hot (warm?) bat so far. Honestly, just get a hit every now and again, maybe draw a walk semi-regularly, and you're an instant upgrade over Sogard. The HRs are a nice bonus.
  8. I have no complaints about Sophia. She's light years better than what we've had to endure in the past. She's actually likable.
  9. He is actually proving how silly it was to sign Sogard. There is always some scrap heap scrub every year who outperforms expectations for a few weeks and you don't spend a few million on a guy who just happened to be that guy last year. Exactly. Waste of $2.5 million.
  10. There was an article on ESPN today about Hader and it took a small dip in how to value him as a reliever. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23494112/meet-josh-hader-unlikely-face-mlb-strikeout-revolution If there's anything to this, and I really can't speak for how accurate it may be, it would seem to me his value is just fine in his current role. But I'm admittedly not well versed in advanced metrics. I tend to defer to those that are.
  11. Just this. I don't really expect to hear anything more until late May or early June. Seem to recall that was the target for him to start throwing some bullpen sessions.
  12. Tried hummus today for the first time. I liked it. It wasn't a "I've been missing this my whole life?" experience but I did like it more than I expected. I've always thought it looked kind of gross. Kinda nutty, kinda salty, no texture issue... not bad at all.
  13. Legion (FX) is a really good show. Currently in 2nd season. Every episode is like a movie. Great acting, excellent visuals and effects, a lot of care is taken in how this show is presented to its audience. It also doesn't talk down to the audience or play to the lowest common denominator, not a lot of hand-holding in its storytelling.
  14. Make use of your local UPS Store and/or FedEx Office. I'm an apartment dweller and I'm most likely not going to be home on a weekday during business hours, even if a signature isn't required there are some things I don't want laying out in front of my door for anyone with building access to take. Once you have tracking info, log in to their website to track and click change delivery address. More often than not you can have them deliver to a UPS/FedEx store for free, that way you can pick it up and sign for it on your time. If it's USPS then it's not always as easy but I think there are similar workarounds to that also. Edit: Still sucks in your case since you were able to be home, I was kind of reading it as you took off work to wait for your package but that may not have been the case.
  15. Sogard has to go. I don't think he's as bad as he's going right now but he's not much better either. Hasn't had a hit since April 17th, and all that "contact hitter" stuff? Well he's grounded into 3 double plays in his last 5 starts. I don't want that kind of contact. Please, for the love of all that's good and holy, DFA Sogard, stat. Literally no other team will claim him. Offer him a chance to right his ways in the minors if CC loves the guy so much, but I'll be perfectly happy to never see him in a Brewers uniform ever again.
  16. The swings by Braun are not inspiring confidence here. Edit: I love reverse psychology!
  17. Ah nuts. That seems to be the thing with Hader, when they make good contact it goes a long way. Glad it's more of a rarity this season so far.
  18. Can anyone imagine this team without Cain and Yelich right now?
