  1. All this, and yet somehow Reed is the only one who is close to being ejected today. Unreal.
  2. We need points. Take about five or six minutes ant least and come away with points.
  3. Win the fourth. It’d be nice to just match punches here for fifteen minutes.
  4. Great throw. Don’t understand the penalty that’s so weak.
  5. Good job not giving up the momentum shift there.
  6. You cannot lose that football there. I love Jacobs, but he’s not himself. Wilson should get way more work at least until he’s better.
  7. This game is going to end with Jacobs at WR and Savion Williams at QB. Good grief
  8. Another dropped pick. X has been really disappointing down the stretch.
  9. Yeah, I was playing the game as if season injured players don’t count (since Micah was excluded). Otherwise I’d take Kraft over the other divisional TEs at the moment.
  10. Very interesting exercise. No time for stats so gut calls only for now: - QB: I think I’ve seen enough that I’d take Love over Goff (we’ve seen his best, and Love’s highs are way higher and room to grow still) and Williams (he’s a storm trooper with his arm, and the scramble around thing will evaporate sooner or later) right now, and obviously way over McCarthy (lol). - OT probably Tom, but idk. Tom struggled at times last year, and I’d have to compare numbers since line play slips under the radar a lot unless you’re a huge liability. - MLB Cooper would have been a slam dunk here after last year, but he’s less impactful this year for some reason. I suspect the Parsons addition has changed how he’s being used (less pass rushing) and that has limited his splash plays. I anticipate more juice from him down the stretch here. - S I definitely take McKinney and maybe Williams, too. Love what the Packers get from both of them (though my goodness, can X even still catch anymore? C’mon man) And…that’s it. Those are the contenders for all-division players. Once again, having QB1 locked down goes a long way, but it does seem to me that much of the rest of the roster isn’t keeping up, perhaps.
  11. And Swift is questionable with a groin. In the cold. On that field. Yeah, hiding Caleb Williams just got a lot tougher for the Bears. Hafley better have his D ready for a lot of Monangai and smoke and mirrors.
  12. This Tucker Kraft erasure will not stand.
  13. Question for the group: considering where the team is now (performance this year and now no Parsons until September at the earliest), what would it take for you to sign off on a long-term extension for Matt LaFleur by the end of the year? A) Nothing, he’s shown enough (meaning no playoffs or one and done) B) The team showing enough fight to win the division/win a playoff game C) Strong run to the NFC championship game D) Super Bowl appearance I came into the year assuming B, considering our contention window would preclude a coaching change. I got really low mid-season and was leaning C or D when we really struggled with CLE/CAR/DAL/NYG, etc. Then when the offense turned around I was kind of back to B. The last two days brought me to “E” as in nothing matters anymore and my sporting heart is empty and cold, but I’m trying to think about this rationally again. I don’t love that I’m ending up here, but I think I’m back at B. If this team still fights hard and makes all comers earn it, including the playoff game, I think you almost have to sign him. I have yet to see a slam dunk replacement out there and you would need somebody certain because an ascending QB and king’s ransom on Parsons cannot be wasted. I assume the conservative Packers brass answer A, but I’m not 100% sure. Policy didn’t hand him anything yet, and it would have been very easy to have done a deal already. So Policy might be at level B, as well. Interested in your thoughts.
  14. Forget the draft positioning, I don’t care about that at this point. But if this season is now all about clawing our way to the postseason where we have a decent chance of getting boat raced by a divisional opponent in the first round, count me all the way out. I’m down for missing the playoffs just to avoid that utter indignity. I felt immense relief that the Crew didn’t blow it against the Cubs in October. Losing to this year’s Bears team somehow feels like it would undo that achievement for me.
  15. It’s unbelievable how often Wisconsin sports can make you think, “no, actually, against all experience and sense, I can maybe actually buy into this team,” and then twist the knife. Am I ever going to be able to quit this ride?
  16. Certainly did its job in the second half. Against an offense that lost one of the best wideouts and tackles in the game today, but results were clear.
  17. Yes, it probably will feel that bad in retrospect. Because this isn’t the playoffs, it doesn’t quite have that finality to it. But it probably will when the full gravity of it sinks in and we get the definitive diagnoses on these injuries. For it to all happen in such a short amount of time, and to lose like this to smug Sean Payton? Ugh.
  18. Another dropped interception. Cool, cool.
  19. Look at that, their secondary catches a tipped ball. Huh, didn’t know that could be done.
  20. We’re losing every single tipped ball and 50/50 pass today. Its unbelievable.
  21. I am very unclear on the challenge process with this team. If MLF is just making a gut call, that’s not really defensible. If somebody looked at a quick replay upstairs and said it’s iffy and he went on that, then we need a process review because I’m not sure what that person could have seen there.
