  1. The score is about what I would have expected. Some of the goofiness was wild, but cream is rising. Score out of the break and be the side with your head screwed on straight and this should be in the bag.
  2. Low-key huge special teams moment coming up.
  3. I keep waiting for one of these to go to Golden, but can’t argue with the points. Bury these jokers!
  4. He’s too busy still chewing Nixon’s gluteus maximus, I suppose.
  5. So I guess guys can just try to choke other people out there and it’s not a flag. But pushing a dude who is trying to choke you is a penalty…
  6. Nixon became 2023-era Quay Walker today, I guess. That is less than ideal.
  7. Another brain dead play, this time by Nix. Clean that crap up!
  8. 12 fadeaway dime to 9 has your Vegas area code right here.
  9. Finally got a one on one for Watson. Let’s go!
  10. Bottom line is, we’re making Caleb try to play QB, and he did not rise to that bar in the first quarter. But we’re self-destructing on offense, so overall we’re only 50% on achieving our goals in this one.
  11. Ball was moving and it hit the ground. Roles reversed I’d call that incomplete.
  12. We’re not playing clean. That is always job number one, and especially so against teams that lack other ways to beat you. C’mon boys.
  13. I’m pretty tired of Banks now.
  14. I thought real time that catch looked probable but iffy. Didn’t have a very good look live. This should be interesting.
  15. This is like the opposite of being a big time pitcher and getting the corners of the strike zone. Parsons gets handicaps added on to his game.
  16. I’m sure we’ll get hosed by this review.
  17. Well, there’s his obligatory “***” throw. No more of that today, please.
  18. Know when to fold em, Jordan.
  19. I find it interesting that we opted to defer. Not sure that’s what I would have done, but ok.
  20. I think we’re decidedly the better team. I think we should win by a margin in the two score range. But “should” has little to do with this season of NFL football, and the Packers are no exception. I can’t remember who the opponent was, but one of my favorite quotes from Charles Woodson was something to the effect of “we just needed to make _______ play quarterback.” I think that’s what today boils down to: make Williams have to play quarterback and GB wins easily. If the Packers do that, it means they get out to a lead and/or keep the Bears ground game in check while staying disciplined in their rush lanes to keep Williams in the pocket. The only way this game becomes a problem is if we allow Chicago to slog this thing out on the ground or we hand them a bunch of turnovers. But I’m not quite sure I trust this Packers team yet. I want to know they’ve matured past the point of their earlier issues (and the Philly game wasn’t that long ago). Today will be a good measuring stick. And next week will be even more revealing, especially if we win this one.
  21. I find myself not really caring too much about today’s Bears-Eagles tilt. If the Packers returning to the Super Bowl is going to happen this year, going to Philly and winning in January is definitely doable, in my mind. Philly does not seem like the same team this year, and I wonder if they’ve been figured out to an extent (at least on offense). And maybe I’m a fool, but after watching LaFleur coach yesterday’s game, I suspect he would approach a rematch with Fangio quite differently than he did in that game a few weeks ago. Plus, I haven’t an opinion about this, but if one is inclined to believe in the prophecy, perhaps a road win against the Eagles has a certain fated edge to it?
  22. Dagger!! I don’t think it was the smart play but it was a winning play.
  23. Man Watson is looking so much more complete this year. And without Reed or Kraft, he has been nothing short of essential.
