Just saw Braun was back but stunned they got rid of Mathias to do it. I should not be but I am. Unbelievable.
-
When you play these teams that have these deep lineups it makes you real jealous. You gotta bring your bats when you are not seeing pitchers hitting. Brewers just don't seem to have enough this year.
-
For sure. Woody better bring his bag.
-
With the expanded playoffs a prime opportunity to get back to the postseason is very tenuous from what we have seen so far. Very little upside unless Yelich and Hiura can discover the secret.
-
Nothing like a rally and it's up to Eric Sogard, Justin Smoak, Insert journeyman here.
-
To me the thing is your are either young and building or you go all out with the Grandal Moose Greinke type moves the Brewers have had success with. The model of cheap journeyman vets is not where you want to be at all.
-
I wonder if this team was better constructed if Cain would have been more willing to give it a go. He might of looked around and said it ain't worth it. We suck.
-
I know Burnes can be frustrating but give me him starting over Anderson all day every day.
-
This is a fact
-
Having Grisham to pull in for Cain would be nice. You figure a team that has had so much trouble developing bats would have wanted to hold on to a success story. Arcia hasn't been terrible but at this point it may make sense to see what Urias can do. Rather see him than the journeyman of the day.
-
It should have never started. This roster construction is a hot disaster in this young season. Agreed. It's like they said let's bring in every journeyman in the league and make a run.
-
Tac on Davies being great so far and this trade is a problem.
-
The Anderson experiment should be ended. He isn't any good.
-
16 million for this guy is a bargain. Paying Garcia and Smoak almost what he's getting is a shame. The guy is a stud with the bat.
-
How long before LoMo takes over for Smoak? He makes Travis Shaw look like Rod Carew.
-
Yelich appears to be a guy who gets juiced by the crowd. It's almost as if he doesn't seem into it. I know struggling can make everyone seem that way but he looks especially lethargic.
-
Man. you only have 60 games. A division game and you let a guy give up 6 runs in an inning with 15 pitchers on staff?? Someone let Counsell know that even though we just started it's August 7th. No time to see if he can find it.
-
Awesome way to get off the road trip. Love given Williams a big time shot in a big spot. He appears to be nasty. Until Knebel is back 100 percent I like it.
-
I really love what we have seen from Peralta in the pen. I guess it's a nice fall back option. I hope that Lauer wins a job also. If Shelby Miller is option seven or eight this rotation is in serious trouble.
-
Good sign. To me Sogard and Holt cancel each other out. Not sure we need both. Seems like Arcia better come ready to go also. They are building enough options to move on from him if he's not making improvements.

Joc Pederson, Ross Stripling to Angels
Bulldogboy replied to Eye Black's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Stripling would be a good get if Dodgers don't have room for him. -
And what exactly does "stripping the title" do? The Astros take down a banner, that's it. It accomplishes nothing. It accomplishes we don't have to hear them referring to themselves as champions. Now would I stop there no I would not. I would be for a suspension of all players who participated but if the owner just keeps the flag up it sends a bad message. Vacate the title for that season. It doesn't hurt.
-
I am shocked at just how bad this was. I for one believe this title should have been stripped given what we know now. To have the manager and gm fired but contract extensions all around for the players involved is ridiculous and embarrassing.
-
No. Not even close.
-
Worst in mlb unless the Orioles count.
