  1. So true. This is facts and you can't believe an entire baseball ops department cant see the issue.
  2. Yep, exactly. I mean, I love what Gamel brings to the team, except that that lefty bat is redundant. Ugh Shaw ... I stood by you, and preached justification for you continuing to get your opportunities. That patience is wearing very, very thin now. I wouldn't imagine that a 29-year-old power hitting corner infielder could just lose it ... but maybe. They only thing he's improved since his IL stint is his patience. Otherwise he still can't catch up to anything in the zone. See Chis Davis.
  3. I keep hearing how Shaw looks so much better after he came back but dude is still hitting 173. I am afraid this season is a waste for him. I wonder if there is more to this story.
  4. No one could have predicted how bad Aguillar and Cain would be. It just baffles me what has happened there. Imagine if we had Pina catching every day and no Grandal.
  5. There's a BIG difference between throwing out the blanket "this team is not very good", and saying this team isn't as good as the one that won 96 games last year. Given the difficult first part of the season schedule, I imagine most fans would be more than happy to have the team with a record where's its currently at. Yeah, they are having a bad trip. They'll play better soon. I think it's possible this is just a bad stretch. The problem is they don't seem to be all in on winning now when you look at the roster management. You can't demote good players that can help for players who are mot helping and then expect the fan base to just be like nothing to see here. Play your best players. We all can live with the results a bit better if that happens.
  6. True. If a light bulb doesn't turn on after almost 4 years it's likely burned out. It ain't turning on.
  7. LOL ... how long have you actually been a Brewer fan? Calling this team not good is an insult to the Selig-Preib years of futility. It’s all about expectations, or lack thereof back in the early 2000s. There were high expectations after last year, and this team is not as good as last year’s team. Exactly. Shouldn't have to be explained.
  8. When is the last time Arcia had a hit? Pittsburgh?
  9. The thing that is maddening is the Giants series the pitching was the issue. Now the bats are gone. Good teams have something to hang their hats on. Not sure aside from hitting home runs this team does well. Tough.
  10. I just don’t get this constant need to police how people react to games. It’s not just you doing it, it happens all the time here when people post negative thoughts about the terrible baseball they’re watching. You do realize this is still a 1st place team, right? Read these IGTs and you'd think we're watching the Orioles. It gets grating after awhile. I know, I know ... just ignore it. I do hope that David Stearns is not of this opinion. He can't be fooled by that fact. This team is not very good.
  11. The sky isn't falling but it's raining real hard.
  12. This team when it doesn't hit home runs doesn't even look competitive. yuck
  13. The fact that Braun is hitting third in this lineup despite the fact he no longer is scary enough for the other side to switch out a righty is shameful. That said no one else outside of Grandal deserves the job. Saledino with 5 more hits tonight. Bring him to the show.
  14. How can the pitcher hit lefties but no one else can?? I mean...
  15. As we have discussed many times now this team is helpless against lefty pitching. If the Cubs with Lester, Hammels and Quintana and Dodgers with Kershaw Ryu and Hill are the teams to beat this team is in need of reinforcements. I'm not going to ask for Hiura because he's a rookie and he can only be expected to do so much. I'm thinking a veteran right handed bat to at least make it interesting. Any ideas??
  16. Agreed, I said this when we acquired Gamel. Not that Gamel isn't a good fit, but the roster construction here makes for some awkward and bad matchups late. Hiura will be back up soon, but not for the bench. They have Dubon and Saladino both tearing up AAA and would probably be quite useful off the bench. With that said the flip side is that we don't have a Sogard or Nick Franklin on this roster like most years. Good point.
  17. Not a strike but you are hitting 3 for a reason Brauny.
  18. Having three lefties on the bench is not ideal. I won't drone on about the roster management of this organization but man.
  19. Brewers could use a right handed hitter who can play second base so Perez can give Arcia a day off. He is scuffling.
  20. I'm not sure I understand a pitcher going on the injured list and then not going out on assignment to make sure he's ready to go. This is a hot offense. Why throw him out there with no work? Going to be out early again.
  21. Lefty starting and the crew struggling. Who would have guessed?
  22. I'm with you but how do you make it four more innings with this motley crew?? Exibit Z on why they need at least two more guys.
  23. It's a different game now then back in the 80's. You look at what Yount, Moliter, etc. did and it's pretty much the equivalent of what Yelich is doing. Kind of like a house that cost $50,000 back in the 80's is worth five times that today. I agree, but 1200 ops is still super rarified air. Trout hasnt done it. Harper hasnt. The last to do it was Bonds. We'll see. Very true. Good point
