  1. The guy that used to sit on the third base side virtually every game...I haven't noticed him much of the season. Does anyone know why he's hardly ever spotted anymore?
  2. Is it weird that I actually feel confident when Kratz is at the dish now? Haha, missed on that one but good hit ball. Then man is having the year of his life...
  3. So maybe a dumb question but when will we know who’s coming tomorrow? I imagine the players were informed beforehand
  4. If Kratz went 0-50 to finish the year I'd still be happy with him if he parked one here.
  5. I get there are some out there that want to adopt the new minor league policy and 'put a runner automatically at second base' in extra innings, but I personally find these marathons entertaining. I don't need offense to keep me plugged in. Offensive dual, pitching dual, quick game, long game...I have no preference. The variance is what makes baseball interesting IMO.
  6. 4-0 Brewers after one. No offense after that. Jeffress with a blown save in the ninth with two outs. How very Brewers of us.
  7. I feel very much out of the loop on what's going on tonight. I spent the entire day moving into my new apartment to start my graduate program and was shocked the game was still on when I settled down. Can someone give me the short version of tonight's game? Haha
  8. I assume you are kidding, but if not, you could really make a strong argument he might be one of the most underrated players in baseball.
  9. My advice, and you can tell me to get lost, but the Brewers aren’t always in the mix. Sure it can be frustrating when things don’t go our way but I am trying to enjoy the heck out of this run. If we don’t get in, yeah it’ll suck but we endure all the crap seasons so that we hopefully can enjoy a playoff season at some point too. You're absolutely right, this season has been a lot of fun and we don't always get much to cheer for in late August. I'm not one to get overly down about the bullpen blowing a lead or a bad offensive night, yesterday was just unique in that it was clear to anyone who watched that everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. On top of that, we had a shot to gain on the Cubs and missed our opportunity. Nevertheless, I did check the box score tonight and it was good to see a clean win, lots of guys contributing top to bottom and what (on paper) looked like a strong outing from Peralta. I should soak it up and enjoy it, but last night was a hard one to swallow to say the least.
  10. Didn't watch any of today's game, was still busy processing yesterdays game and rotating my internal rage between pen management, the dang umpire not getting out of the way and that atrocious defense. I concluded that the umpire getting hit angered me the most, because that was 100% out of our control haha. Taking the next game off to as well in recovery.
  11. I love how Scooter suddenly develops power after leaving us. It was a miracle when he hit a homer here
  12. I really like Kratz. He’s nothing great but doesn’t kill you either. He’s a solid backup catcher and veteran presence
  13. We get it doesn't change the outcome, it's just fun to see what other teams you're competing against for playoff spots are doing. If you strictly want to follow Brewers games, that's fine, but some people enjoy the bigger picture like myself. While we do control our own destiny to a certain degree, that's not entirely true. If the Cubs keep winning and the Brewers keep winning at the same pace, we're not taking the division.
  14. So you 'hate' Daniel Murphy for his "bigotry"? Isn't hating another person for their personal beliefs kind of hypocritical when all Murphy did was say he didn't agree with homosexuality. Not getting into a debate, this just seems painfully hypocritical of you judging his choice to judge someone else's choice (or nature, whatever side of the issue you're on...not getting into that).
  15. If it’s any consolation though, Murphy is pretty rough defensively.
  16. There's a guy sitting in Triple-A right now for the Blue Jays, Conor Fisk, who I played ball with in high school. A minor league journeyman, but he's been great down there this year and is looking like he's finally about to get his chance. He was actually drafted by the Brewers in late-rounds when we were in high school, but opted to go play in college. Once he wrapped up at Southern Mississippi, he was drafted again by Toronto, where he's been ever since. Following his career has me wondering, has anyone else here played with or against any MLB players (past or current)? https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=fisk--001con
  17. We might be getting Davies back soon. He has a rehab start scheduled with Biloxi on Wednesday and sources indicate if he has success there and can go six innings of clean baseball, he might be headed back to Milwaukee just in time for September. Would be nice to get him back! Also, the bats came alive again tonight, some good hitting top-to-bottom in the lineup. There were also a lot of hard hit balls from a number of guys that didn't fall, overall it was good to see us making great contact. Back in the driver's seat with the top wildcard slot, let's hold on to it!
