  1. Keep the Braves where they are and get a nice come from behind W tonight. Luke Jackson, their closer, has struggled lately.
  2. Someone finally realizes that the pen is not all that good this season.
  3. I’m in. Houser back to the pen will help too.
  4. Yep and same with the pitchers watching the leagues worst hitting team with RISP.
  5. This. Burnes was an option. Peralta was an option. If a 5 run lead was this much of a concern, it wasn't mandatory for Counsell to go with the AAA guy who hasn't pitched in the bigs in years. Yes This and your idea of putting Hader in left should have been option 1 and 2. They were in my mind before the inning started but it’s easier apparently sitting here.
  6. With all the talk about coaching changes, it sounds like our friends 90 miles south are getting very impatient. The phrase “ton of changes” if performance doesn’t improve was used by Theo yesterday. I could see Mark Loretta taking over with David Ross as bench coach. The hitting and pitching coaches have strong ties with Jed so they might be safe for now. Those kinds of changes seem more realistic than any that we would make in season relative to all the talk about pitching and hitting coaches here.
  7. I know age isn't a great excuse, but I think we forget that he's only 24. Some immaturity is probably expected. I wonder if the Brewers have a behavioral therapist that works with the team. Baseball is such a mental game. Season is long. Seems like a no brainer. I see what you did there.
  8. Check the board on May 1st to see who the loyal fans are. Tough bunch of series to start the season. It’s a turtle race.
  9. Yes, I thought he may come in for Peralta early and throw 4 or 5 innings tonight.
  10. Dan McLaughlin is the PBP guy and yes he is enough to work up a good barfing listening to him spout off when things are going well for his birdies.
  11. I agree. Would like to see a late inning rally against Miller and Hicks. Need some base runners and walks will do wonders.
  12. You named one good pitcher in here and he wasn't even good last season. Hicks might just break the radar gun. Hader throws hard; Hicks throws flames.
  13. Last night the Cards had 7 base runners in 9 innings; tonight 15 so far in 6 innings.
  14. I think J. Martinez needs to play more 1st base and bat second for the Cardinals.
  15. Three chances to score from 2nd on a single, removes the double play. Picked a great pitch to run. Think Cain was on to something there.
