  1. Yep, still alive and need Woody to be our ace tonight. Our chances our pretty decent if we win these last 2, gotta keep the faith.
  2. Hey, I talked my way into Fenway without a ticket not once, but twice. Two of my favorite stories! One was a Yankee-Red Sox game. I snuck into a game at Camp Randall years ago. The first Jump Around game as a matter of fact. I accidentally snuck into an outdoor concert in Miami. Had never been to the venue and walked through the first entrance I saw and was looking around for where to pay and then was like "I'm in!". That's all I got.
  3. Gary had a big game today, he may be passing PSmith soon. Alexander also right on top of Jones on every pass as well. It's not like we have no talent on D.
  4. ATL just standing there expecting it not to go ten yards or something. That was weird, I am sure we are going to see that onside kick style all week. But just jump on the ball if that's all you have to do to win.
  5. Well at least it wasn't a one minute drive like last week but again we have some more work to do on offense to put this one away.
  6. Yeah he fumed about it the whole 30 seconds too
  7. Heck he will be head coaching in Dallas by week 5.
  8. Boy had em on the ropes big time and let them off the hook, huge drive for defense here.
  9. I was sweating that for sure as I am on all hail marys. 57 yarder's outside are tough.
  10. Remember the Detroit Dirtbags? I think one of our Olineman coined that during the Schwartz/Suh era.
  11. Man if I was a Lions fan I would really be steaming right now, gave away 7 points. Finally a lead!
  12. I have a $50 bet with a friend that MM would fired after this season, not a smart bet that was made in the middle of some MM bashing but so far so good!
  13. I think we got a lot of turnovers that year to makeup somewhat for the sieve defense. We are going to need some today
  14. We have always struggled finding good fits on the DL and ILB for the 3-4, I wish they would just scrap it.
  15. Hell we already settled for FG, that may be it.
  16. It's frustrating, the defense has been soft it seems like going back a decade now. I am not even sure I blame the coaches, just seems like our players are too pampered or something.
  17. If I am an opponent inside the 15 I just run run run, we have no push.
  18. When I lived in Minneapolis I always knew if the packers would be on looking at where/when the Vikings played and which network had the doubleheader. Not sure of the rules anymore but basically if the Vikings are at home no one can be on the opposite channel for a noon game, even if it means you only get 2 games instead of 3 broadcast in the afternoon.
  19. The other non play that had the analytics folks up in arms was when McVay punted on 4th and 1 from mid field late in the 4th quarter. I just looked it up and found this, sounds like the FG was the way to go? They make it sound like a wash but that is only in the case that they convert either way, the FG has a much higher probability than 4th and 3 I would think. Maybe I am reading it wrong but even without the numbers the FG seems like the obvious choice to me: According to ESPN Stats & Information, the win percentage had the Cowboys made the field goal would have been 47.4%. Had they converted, the win percentage was 47.2%. So basically a wash. But also according to ESPN Stats & Information, McCarthy never went for it on fourth down when down by three in the fourth quarter and inside the opponents’ 30. He kicked a field goal six times, making five.
  20. The 2 point conversions were sort of tough for us with a back like Cook and our run D. I am more concerned about the quick scores when all we had to do was stop them from scoring quick to win but they had like a 1 minute and two 2 minute drives in the 4th quarter. That clearly needs work and I think that goes back to last season, just not sold on Pettine right now. 34 points in 18 minutes is really brutal. But it's week one, will see how they do against Stafford next week who is a better QB than Cousins. Someone brought up here earlier but Cephus had 3 catches and a game high 10 targets today for the Lions. We had some debate here about his NFL potential and I haven't been paying attention but that is pretty impressive for a rookie WR with a short camp.
  21. Same old sorry Lions. Swift drops game winning TD. Like, easy TD. Victory for the Bears. Both teams looked like junk. Man that was hard to watch, feel sort of sorry for the guy. Easy doesn't even describe it, Stafford practically handed it to him.
  22. I think the MVS drop and the final knee were the only drives we didn't get TD's on. That will do. Weird game, sure hope Clark can get back soon.
  23. I am fine with it but not if you let them score in 2 minutes. I mean we were getting stops earlier now it's like I feel we need another score.
  24. Looks like a serious knee injury for Taylor
  25. Cmon Rodgers. It's like they plan to take these timeouts...
