  1. You know my answer. Well I guess there's just only one thing left to do...
  2. I'd be curious to see how many of his HRs are Yankee Stadium short porch homers.
  3. I remember 2014 this time of year vividly. Just moved in with my girlfriend, was so excited to be chipping in for cable together so I can watch Aram and the Brewers make another playoff push into September, I think we moved in Sept 1st into an apartment. But it felt like every day I came home from work, turned the game on with excitement, and almost every game we were already losing early. Like every game. It was awful to watch and so sad after I was so excited. That's why I love this run we've been on since 2017 or so! Oh yeah also 1993-2006ish was pretty rough too :)
  4. 2014 somehow still goes under the radar...that was so depressing. Weren't we up leading the Division through August and choked? I think we only won a couple games all month in Sept. I'd rather them lose now and get hot for the playoffs, then keep playing well now and get cold for the playoffs.
  5. I know many here agree but think he has the nastiest stuff on the team when he's on. Just filthy how much movement he gets on all his pitches with high velocity...buttt sometimes it's too much movement and he walks too many yep.
  6. I like to play this game where if I'm busy and don't know the score of the game, I hop on this site and look at the IGT... If it's only a couple pages, chances are we are winning. If it's over 10 page early on or mid game, we are losing big or blew a lead. Over 20 lookout, could be an ugly loss or blowout, major meltdown. Then I turn the game on, see we are down by only 1-2 runs and or winning even and can't believe how negative people can be sometimes. Do they not realize how good these Brewers teams have been since 2017? We are beyond spoiled. I grew up in bad years of the 90's and 2000s Brewers teams. This is an amazing run we are on. Enjoy it.
  7. Are these long stretches where we play every day balanced for all teams every couple years? Or are they making it harder for us to be good next year? I think the last couple years we've had a lot of off days in September compared to other teams so maybe it's just balancing out.
  8. Has Miz had a good start since the All-Star break? Unless he's pitching lights out and getting us to the 5th-6th innings, yeah I'd rather seem him come out of the pen and be a right handed version of Hader on the 2018 team for the postseason. Or piggy back him with someone like Gasser?
  9. We figured this stretch of 19 games in 18 days would be a tough stretch, especially against good teams. So far it's proving accurate, and the team is a little banged up as well. But if we survive this stretch and get healthy and hot for the playoffs it's ok. Should be a fun last month.
  10. It's going to come down to the wire guys. The Cubs were playing poorly, now they are getting hot again and have an easy schedule. We have a tough schedule coming up and no off days, we were bound to lose some games here. The key is to lose now, and then get hot again for the playoffs. That's all we have to do is be hot in the playoffs to get to the WS and win it all one of these years. I don't care what seed we are, we just have to get in and be the hot team and we will win.
  11. Should we sign Kotsay for OF depth? Lockridge looked pretty lost in RF last week. This team keeps winning no matter who is playing so I'll just support whomever.
  12. We're winning without him, need him down the stretch for the playoffs. Rest him now make sure he's 100% don't want this coming back and nagging him and he's out for the playoffs.
  13. Big stretch coming up for the Crew here with 0 off days. I'm glad we have some W's "in the bank" here this is really going to test our depth. But what hasn't this team overcome yet this season? Bring it on! I'm looking forward to a game on TV every day.
  14. When we win a World Series. Or a Playoff series for that matter. That's what all my "metrics" are looking at. All this is great right now, but it doesn't mean crap unless we make a deep, deep playoff run or win it all. We'll just be the 2001 Mariners right now and still plenty of games left.
  15. I noticed this last night as well. I bet it has more to do with like family vacations and stuff like that. They both have been with the Brewers a long time, and are probably getting some vacations in now before the home stretch into September when we'll see them more together. Their ribbing of each other always seemed friendly and genuine to me.
  16. It is crazy the amount of infield hits they get. A fast lineup top to bottom you can get a lot of infield hits off weak contact. It puts pressure on the D, and it's mentally draining for the other team as well to get beat by little dink hits.
  17. Ah yes, Ben Hendrickson. Man he put up some awesome minor league numbers, we all thought he would join Sheets and Gallardo in the rotation...but man he couldn't do it in the MLB. Can't remember why. Think he didn't throw that hard, only had 2 pitches maybe. Chad Fox was a great late innings bullpen guy. Did he ever become a closer somewhere? He was our setup guy right? Guessing mid 2000s?
  18. Still pretty crazy how good he's been. I remember he played a bit with the team last year, I was watching his first mlb hit game with his family there. And thought he'd make a nice backup outfielder kinda player for us that was young and controllable...now he's a starter and mashing. And plays good D. Impressive.
  19. I am unfamiliar with the Jays. Are they like us just a good mix of prospects and some of their bigger hitters having good seasons? Vlad Jr. and Bichette still mashing? That's another sleeper team over there that's good in the AL no one talks about.
  20. I love this thread for 2 reasons. 1) It means the Brewers are winning again, something growing up in the 90's and early 2000s I didn't think would be possible in my lifetime. 2) random Brewer photos I have long forgot about.
  21. I guess I'd rather have him out now, and 100% for the season end and playoffs, then play through it now, and be out end of year.
  22. Brewers front office strikes again. They knew to cut ties with him back then. A lot of people including myself didn't want to give up on him yet but man, he has been a mess. Still liked him, great D seemed like a fun guy.
  23. I thought these were the classiest fans in baseball? That respect the game and don't care about wins and losses? :) Love to see it.
  24. Yep this move seems to fly under the radar still. What a pickup.
  25. How about we just trust this Brewers Front Office knows what they are doing? How many similar comments did we all see on these boards for the Vaughn trade, the Priester Trade, any signing this off season the past couple years and you know what? These deals have worked out for the most part and proven all of us wrong. There's a reason they were FO of the year last year, and most likely this year as well. Manager of the year too. How about we all just shut up and see what these guys can do and trust the system? I think they've earned that from us. Didn't we add Donaldson really late a couple years ago to our roster down the stretch? If we add any veteran depth going forward, I bet it will be a really late add like that again and work out maybe? I was disappointed like the rest of us, but looking back at all our moves the past couple years most of them worked out pretty damn good so I'm just gonna trust these guys know what they are doing.
