  1. Fireman Jeffress, CC has a lot of confidence in jj again.
  2. Agree, I’m sure Stearns does too, the way Shaw has slumped all year, Thames isn’t going anywhere, unless Stearns trades for a first baseman at the deadline.
  3. Freitas? Thinking Freitas, good defensively, hitting.364
  4. Nice having a real second baseman turning the DP
  5. I’m one that had him in my top 7, I think 7th if I remember correctly, for CC to single this guy out in ST, to say how impressive he was, and then the crew activating him for the T Rat game at miller park to make his debut really let’s me know how highly they think of him. He’s now my #1 and it’s not close.
  6. With Anderson starting sat and Peralta to the pen, Then jimmy to the rotation @ june 1 with Anderson in all likelihood to the pen, barring catastrophic injuries we can say goodbye to Jacob Barnes forever, he’ll probably be Dfa’d. I suppose they could put Peralta in AAA, but they would have houser Wilkerson for depth. Pitching staff June 1: Rotation- 1.) Woodruff 2.) Nelson 3.) Chacín 4.) Gio 5.) Davies Bullpen: 6.) Anderson(2-4 innings) 7.) Peralta(2-4 innings) 8.) Albers > mop up/1-2 innings 9.) Claudio > Loogy+ 10.) Guerra > 1-3 innings/close 11.) Burnes > 1-2 innings/close 12.) Jeffress 1-2 innings/close 13.) Hader > 1-3 innings/close If Nelson strong top 3 rotation in NL If Anderson Peralta strong we have a superpen From June on this team should win 66% of their games with good health, a favorable schedule and a strong Nelson.
  7. Then they should put Anderson in the pen with peralta to be the multi-inning pen arms that this team needs to move toward the superpen their going to need to really be a great team.
  8. While they may not keep it up the Twins deserve to be in the discussion right now. They have one of the best offenses in baseball and while their pitching isnt great they do have a young ace. The Rays, Yankees and Boston should all be in the discussion too. All those teams have a run differential of plus 20 or more Ok, here’s my power rankings: 1.) Dodgers > ridiculous depth separates 2.) Astros > Great hitting team 3.) Brewers > Team only going to get better 4.) Cardinals > bullpen could get scary good 5.) Cubbies > bullpen & lack of depth hurt 6.) Rays > great front office 7.) Yankees > injuries sminjuries 8.) Twins > not as good as they appear
  9. A few observations 26+% in: - the Dodgers are the best team in Baseball, astros right behind them, followed by the Brewers, Cubbies, Cardinals. - The 2 wild card teams will be the Cubbies and Cardinals - No idea who the other playoff team will be between the Braves Phillies or Mets. Probably going with the best manager > Braves
  10. 2 down... 8 days apart. 3rd and 11th of May. 17th, 23rd and 28th to go? (SA doubleheader on the 27th and he gets back on every 5th schedule) Leaves Memphis on the 29th and meets MKE in Pittsburgh for the 30th as SA goes to Omaha. Sounds right. I think for the last 2 rehab starts they will want the 4 day rest to make sure he recovers ok, so 22nd and 27th then starts for the big club June 1 in Pittsburgh. Unless they decide to put him in the bullpen, because our starters too strong.
  11. May 31st seems to be the last day that Jimmy can be optioned, as he'll reach 5 years of service time the next day. This ended up lining up almost exactly with the end of the rehab assignment. So they could, and I guess they will if he's obviously not ready and looks awful, but I agree that I don't believe they will. Breaking stuff looks great, velo is fine, give him a chance to prove that he's back. There's a good chance he makes this team better. So on those grounds alone he should be on the MLB roster. In addition to that, it also doesn't look great to option a player on the last day where you can do so. Even more true for a popular guy (With both fans and players) like Jimmy. Exactly. He’s healthy-his stuff is good-he’s gonna help the big club!
  12. That would be as close to a superpen as we’ve ever had: Peralta Houser Nelson Claudio Jeffress Burnes Guerra Hader Then in June sign kimbrel or call up Rasmussen before September to add yet another dominant arm giving us the superpen to shut down the dodgers.
  13. And the bullpen is gonna get stronger still after Anderson and Nelson join the big club. Pen moving toward a superpen!
  14. I don’t get the talk of more time in rehab than the 30 days, sometime from May 23-june 5 he’ll be starting for the big club. Boom done.
  15. I’m hoping this the last time I ever see Barnes pitch for the crew again. Can’t stand him. Williams eligible soon, thank goodness.
  16. Burnes FB Slider devastating out of the pen. Keep him there THIS year, I wanna win a World Series!
  17. 4 ip only 1 k. Kinda of a pitch to contact game, little over 40 pitches. Maybe he just wanted to be efficient with his pitches?
  18. Woodruff becoming a pitcher, mixing in his change and slider more and more. Can’t just sit on his FB anymore.
  19. Rasmussen: 42 pitches 24 strikes 4 ip 2 h 1 bb 1 k Pitch to contact game. Still only 2 hits and most importantly zero runs
  20. Don't agree. Fingers looked over the top of the base to me before they actually touched the base and looked like the tag occured during that lapse in time. I’m watching the Phillies broadcast and their camera right on the base showed fingers on the base before the tag. A no doubter.
