    I like it. Definitely prefer it to the silence of the scrimmages last week and it's a better sound than I've heard piped in for some other sports. They just need to get better at timing the cheers/etc. at key moments in the game.

    That is a really interesting note to keep in mind as it means teams kind of need to add "expendable" players to the player pool that they don't mind getting rid of in trades. It makes you wonder how many players (and who) are being added just as potential trade bait options.

    COME ON!! lol. I mentioned this in another thread, but I've been in Baltimore for 10 years and this was going to be the first time the Brewers actually played in Camden Yards while I've been here. They couldn't just go with the same interleague matchups we're missing out on from this year? Oh well, maybe in 10 more years...

    Thanks for the suggestion! I'm a big Fargo fan, so I figured I'd check out the first episode last night, ended up watching the first three. Definitely worth a watch if you like good, dark humor, quirky shows. Cool. Yeah. It is cool.

    So sounds like they were able to go under slot with all the round 2-5 picks. How far over slot are they able to go with Mitchell now? Seems like they should be able to offer him a pretty nice deal at this point considering how far he dropped.

    Patriot. (Not 'The" Patriot, the Mel Gibson movie. ) Patriot could be my favorite TV series of all time, it's two seasons. Best way I can describe it it's a dark comedy. Not really the same as Fargo, but if you loved Fargo you'll probably love Patriot. It's unlike anything you've seen, in a good way. Thanks for the suggestion!     Interesting. With a shortened schedule, no fans, regionally contained travel, and nothing else to compete with scheduling events at the stadiums, you'd think this would be an ideal scenario to make schedules as even as possible (ie. everyone has the same number of games against each opponent, equal home/away games against each opponent, etc.), but I guess they're just going to make it uneven for fun, lol.

    I'll be interested in seeing how they make up the schedule if it really is 10 games vs. each division opponent and 4 games vs. each interleague opponent. There will have to be some very unconventional things going on for that to work... 10 games vs. each division opponent - So is this a 5 game home series and a 5 game away series against each team? Otherwise they have to break it into 3- and 2-game series, which I thought they were trying to avoid the short series. Or do they not worry about having equal home/away games against each team so they can have series of 3, 3, and 4 games? 4 games vs. each interleague opponent - To avoid the 2 game series, they can have 4-game series against 4 of the 5 teams, but then they'll need to split up the 5th one to ensure equal home/away games. Unless again they're not worried about keeping things equal and they make up the unbalanced home/away games somehow in the games against division opponents. Also if the schedule is made up of mainly 4 and 5 game series, I guess the traditional Friday/Saturday/Sunday series is out the window as well. All that said, I guess without crowds to accommodate and all sorts of other goofiness going on, maybe it doesn't even matter if home/away games are split up evenly, etc. anyways

    Took a stab at what a 60 game season from July 24th to September 30th could look like: That schedule includes 12 games vs. each division opponent, 4 games vs. an interleague rival, and 2 games vs. each remaining interleague opponent.

    Fair enough, and almost certainly correct, but then the owners should just be tweeting "We'r ready when you are" back. But you're right, the whole thing is ridiculous at this point.
