    Okay. I was wondering earlier today how Nashville would find enough pitchers for the Sunday and (rare) Monday games. This helps.

    Juan Baez now has 8 errors in 231 innings at 3rd base this year. He has Zero errors in 80 innings at 2nd base this year.

    Made’s gotten on base twice in the first 3 innings (single, walk) and Di Turi has singled him home both times. That’ll play. 2-1 Mudcats thus far.

    Jadher Areinamo oppo-taco leadoff homer for Wisconsin. Eduardo, Burke and Dinges followed with back-to-back-to-back singles, but a pickoff (Burke) and GIDP (Baez) limited us to one more run. 2-0 Timber Rattlers before Hardin throws his first pitch.

    High-A Wisconsin leads their series at South Bend 2-0 and has stellar RHP Tyson Hardin (1.16 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 9.3 K/9 in 38.2 IP) on the bump tonight. 1B Blake Burke has hit safely in 16 of his last 17 games.

    Carolina is down 1-0 in their series at Fredericksburg and MILB is showing RHP Jack Hostetler (6.75 ERA, 8 Ks in 8 IP) as the Game 1 starter after a 6-week injury absence: 1 - Made - SS 2 - Anderson - CF 3 - Bitonti - 1B 4 - Di Turi - 3B 5 - Walling - RF 6 - Nadal - LF 7 - Lameda - 2B 8 - T. Rodriguez - RF 9 - E, Martinez - C X - Hostetler - P

    AA Biloxi is tied 1-1 in their home series against Knoxville and has 22-year old RHP Brett Wichrowski (3.60 ERA, 6 Ks in 10 IP) making his 4th start tonight. 3B Brock Wilken leads the Southern League in homers (11) and walks (39) and is 2nd in total bases (73).

    Hall’s ready. Civale’s not ready, but we’re likely activating him anyway. I’m glad (for his sake) Woodruff is getting $17.5m, but sad for Brewers’ fans that we’re not getting anything close to that value on the field. Ashby may need a LOT more time to get to H2 2024 MLB performance level.

    1B Luke Adams (.829 OPS in 157 PAs) is back after missing 3 games, just as SS Cooper Pratt is conspicuously absent for the 2nd straight game. RHP Alexander Cornielle gets the home start against Knoxville, with AA Biloxi aiming for a 2-0 series lead.

    AAA Nashville hosts Yankees’ affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a doubleheader to kick off this week’s series, with rehabbing Brandon Woodruff starting the opening game. LF Eddie Rosario makes his 3rd start since joining the squad (2-for-7, HR, walk).

    I think I’d have preferred Misiorowski on 5 days’ rest today, Patrick on 5 days’ rest tomorrow. And maybe don’t throw Mears a second inning when you’ve got McGee completely fresh. Of course, I also wouldn’t have let Durbin hit late. I can’t help but feel this may give us false confidence in him going forward. But maybe that’s just me being negative. Oh well. Well done to Patrick, Durbin, Hoskins and Chourio. Hopefully CF-Rod has a good outing tomorrow. Kind of need it.

    Here’s the lineup from that early Wisconsin game at South Bend, with 20-year old LHP Anthony Flores looking to replicate his last start (5 IP, 0 R, 3 Ks). SS Eduardo Garcia came in on a solid 4-game run: 6-for-14, 2 HRs, 6 RBIs.

    Biloxi hosts Cubs’ affiliate Knoxville this week and RHP Coleman Crow (2.60 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 12.5 K/9 in 17.1 IP) makes his 6th start. C Matt Wood (.674 OPS in 116 High-A PAs) makes his AA debut and Darrien Miller makes his first start at first base since the Noah Campbell 9-position game in 2021.

    Wisconsin is in South Bend this week to destroy the 10-29 Cubs. Something tells me this RHP Patricio Aquino spot start will go better than his last one (0.2 IP, 5 R). DH/C Marco Dinges (.353 AVG, 1.076 OPS in 112 PAs) makes his High-A debut!

    The Mudcats play at Nationals’ affiliate Fredericksburg this week, with CF Jose Anderson (.333 AVG, 1.217 OPS in 45 PAs in the ACL) making his Low-A debut. RHP Travis Smith (4.50 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 7.2 K/9 in 20 IP) makes his 8th start. EDIT: Tyler Rodriguez is in the starting lineup for Luis Pena, with Lameda shifting to the infield.

    Seems kind of crazy to me how we hurriedly burned Keston’s 1st and 3rd option years and CF-Rod’s 1st option year, but are afraid to burn Misiorowski’s 1st option year.
